    This one has to be tossed in the hat. :)

    Take the EC apart Pinco and put it back together so it's a good UI. All those neat bells & whistles and all that wasted potential is truly sad.

    One thing I would love to see is the ability to set up a preset price and description list that will price and label items automatically when they are stocked on a vendor.

    Another would be that the container is set up for legacy mode while it is being stocked to avoid the jumbled piles found by CC users when they browse some vendors.

    Could you include a method for us, while standing in our workshop, to open a selected combination of containers with a single click selection to access the supplies for the particular crafting skill we are about to use?

    Set up a container in our pack for resources that will automatically unload into preset storage containers when we open our main supply chest and click a command? This would be particularly nice after a foraging trip where jewels and such wind up scattered through your backpack.

    A command that will unravel items in a preset bag one at a time, stopping when a gain is achieved. Thinking of this for Siege/Mugen RoT training. It's working for all other crafting skills would be nice. Perhaps include an on screen timer that would count down to zero and signal it's training time?

    A way to get blackrock from Mining to go automatically into a preset bag instead of scattering through the main backpack?

    For us old farts with arthritis how about these hand & wrist savers as well.

    Ore you dig up mining auto smelts on a fire beetle if you have one along, and then drops in your pack.

    Logs get made into boards as you lumberjack.

    Hides get made into leather automatically using scissors in your backpack.

    A way to have non-exceptional and exceptional items be automatically put in separate bags as an item is crafted.

    A way to auto-tend plants as you click on each one using potion kegs and decanter in the backpack. It ends each plant tending with some visual indication. It would also show what's left in each potion keg?

    A way to have boards restock in your work backpack as you work? I sell furniture and having to restock wood so often as I craft is a lot of extra mousing and clicking. I can't see scriptors making hundreds of any furniture items with it.

    A way to do a specific Imbuing to all the contents of a container? I'm thinking of the LRC armor I often make on Siege. A lot of repetitive clicking.

    A way to auto stuff several spellbooks with scrolls in the same bag with a single command? The 64 scroll mage books are a major pain, literally. I tried selling them on Siege since many want them. What it did to my old joints was not fun.

    Tanivar, much of what you have asked for here is already in Pinco's.
    I have a hot key toggle for legacy containers when stocking vendors.
    I have an organiser set to sort blackrock into a specified container.
    I have a 'restock' agent set to replenish my reg bag for scribing.
    My mining macro consists of 4 digs with the shovel and smelt on my fire beetle.
    I have another organiser set to shift the ingots into my pack horse when I get close to weight limit.
    I also have an organiser that fills a spell book, provided I only have one spell of each type in my bag - the way I use it is usually to scribe 2 spell levels then run the organiser.
    Explore the possibilities of Pinco's. It can do more than you realise.

    As for the Arthritis - try Cod Liver Oil and Glucosamine Capsules. I have a friend who swears they did far more to relieve her joint pain than anythng the doctor ever gave her.

    I kind of expected Pinco had already built in a lot of anything anyone could possibly want when I was the only one posting. <g>

    I'll do a little homework on the Cod Liver Oil and Glucosamine Capsules and likely give them a try. Hopefully I'll wind up able to type a little faster and sleep a bit longer at a time. :)

    Unless you have a computer connected to your brain, there is no way to know price and description for every item you want to put for sale :D

    as petra said just switch from legacy to list/grid view with the legacy container toggle

    you can make a macro for that

    use the organizer

    this is too specific, but I could add an action to target the first object in a specified container and another that click "unravel item" so you can make a macro :p

    use the organizer

    make a macro then use the organizer to move the ingots

    you can do it with a macro, but I think the devs should add an axe like the harvesting blade to do that...

    this can't be done

    determine the exact amount of potions in a keg is impossible since the text indicates a range. The auto-gardening can be done, but seems a bit lame... if you auto-tend the plants don't you lose all the fun of gardening?

    use the restock agent

    I could add an action that click "imbue last property", so you can make a macro :p

    use the organizer

    Unless you have a computer connected to your brain, there is no way to know price and description for every item you want to put for sale :D

    I sell the items I sell at the same price in nearly all cases. I was hoping for a feature where the info would get added without the typing.

    I travel Siege since last November and haven't seen a giant turkey there yet. I'd of spent the hours to wear down the 30k hp on each turkey with ebolt macros if I could have. Perhaps next year.

    I'm getting closer to ancient as the years go by. I've done plants since they were introduced but it's become less fun as my hands gripe about doing all the mousing and clicking. My 18x18 greenhouse days are definitely over. The eighty plants I currently do are a bit much done all at once.

    May have to re-download the EC and putter about with it more, at least for playing my crafter. Still think it needs to be redone by someone with a clue though. :rolleyes:

    If I'm not mistaking, you could also use the butcher war cleaver that should auto-cut the leather too.

    about gardening, if you don't want to click, just use the raised garden bed :p

    Correct, the only difference is the Harvester's Blade gives a resource bonus, whereas the BWC gives the normal amount.

    Easy. I have a macro to target/mine resource, smelt on beetle, and organize it into my pack. This is also great for training since it literally smelts one at a time, but faster than you could ever do it by hand.

    Same goes for wood/logs. Macro to target/chop resource, use axe on logs.

    I have both macros set to repeat ten times. If the area is still not clear of resources I run it again, if its clear, I simply move on to next spot.

    Problem with both is that I play Siege. Tools have a number of uses then their destroyed.

    Speaking of missing the point... <laughs>

    The reason I'd like to see it automated is to reduce the amount of mousing and clicking required. My 2nd character is all crafter and can make all the tools easily, I just don't enjoy resource gathering play being any more of a masochistic experience than it has to be.

    going back to topic... I'm starting to make the new Crafting Assistant, if you have any ideas to add to the post linked now it's the time to speak.

    Remember: this new tool will replace by default all the crafting gumps so think about it before it's too late :p

    Just keep in mind the average age of UO players is getting up there and that many of us would love to see as little mousing and clicking needed to do things as possible. :)

    If getting things done with the EC will ouch less than the CC, I may give the EC another try. :bowdown:

    I'm sure this probably not possible to create but it be nice to see the rewards for bods while in the bod book without removing them.

    Wonder if they could set the CC up so we could add mods to it. That would be a definite winner with the CC side of the playerbase. a Good Look & Feel Client, and new Bells & Whistles to boot, with the real chance of pulling in the EC users if it's possible to add in the features the EC has that they love. All switchable in & out of course. :)

    The EC has a literal TON less clicking and draggin than the CC. Thats why I have removed CC from my machine, to much manual labor.

    Awesome work Pinco,another great addition to the EC and your UI. :thumbup:

    bod books are a giant mess of string, it's hard to determine the bods data, but maybe one day I'll get insane enough to try :devil:
    I don't think it will ever happen... to do that they should rewrite completely the client, so if they requires 3 years to just redraw the walls imagine how many centuries they need for something like that :lol:

    Might not be that difficult, depends on how the CC code is written. The Devs have added things to the CC and it makes sense the original coders would have made it easy to add features just to save themselves from a lot of hassle if they needed to make additions themselves.

    I added the question to the Ask the Devs thread so we'll get an answer sometime. It might prove easy to do or be considered worth the effort if it isn't, or the Devs may just all log onto Siege and come after my hide with torches & pitchforks. :eek:

    We will find out. :)

    I'll never return to the Dark Side (CC)! But as for staying on topic, its sounding great Pinco! Cannot wait to see it live in game and take it for a spin!

    I am not sure if any still write in the old code UO was written in....... its that old.
    We talking C++ era.....
    Now We dino's who know basica and fortran, and the first gen of C++ know the hell it was to fix boo boos and what the Dev has been doing forages after the new coding prgms came in use. How many times did UO shards go down that first year?? That should give you an idea of how bad to redo the coding was.

    Today I bet if some techie really st down and puttered they could redo UO in a modern language and have it up and in super graphics shape... but EA dont want that or it would have been done when they had millions for use on UO way back when....
    Think of it, how many programmers would it take to do it and how far would a million dollars go in getting it up asap....?

    How do I use an ASH? If it's not in my hand I won't get the bonus, but if it's not in my pack the assistant can't find it. Is there a way to set my paper doll as the container?

    Can you elaborate on that Pinco? I downloaded the latest patch but the assistant does not detect the ASH in my hand. Still says no tools in my pack . I don't want tools in my pack when I have an ASH in my hand with 600+ charges on it. More tools just add more weight and take up space.

    What am I missing?

    Got it working after setting the tools container and the materials container. I thought it would default to backpack.
