Hi, I haven't used my crafter in a very long time, and over the years I have dropped skills. I am trying to find some method to the madness with all the crafting and resource gathering skills and would like to get some ideas on some templates.

My suggestion is, if you are going to use all the crafting skills, to go for two characters, not one - but for a single character template, try this

    Crafter #1
    120 Tailor
    120 Smith
    100 Mining
    100 Arms Lore
100 Carpentry (with the change to how boards are made, Lumberjacking can be on any character, preferably an Axe-user for the combat benefits)
    100 Tinker/Bowcrafting*
75 magery (or lower, with equipment to get to 75)
0 to 5 Music (with equipment to get to 45)
    = 720 points

    * Swap these out with two soulstones as needed. Most of the time you'll probably keep tinker on, to make tools.

Optional Crafter #2 (which will be a fully functional PvM character)
    Magery
    Mysticism
    Eval Intelligence
    Imbuing
    Inscription
Choice of Spellweaving or Alchemy (or, swap them as desired)
Any leftover points in Meditation; will require a mana Regen-based suit.

This Allows the Mysticism skill to be used to full effect, sharing Eval with the magery, and allowing the all three magic-type skills' summons to be boosted by that one spell whose name currently escapes me. Inscription, of course, boosts SDI as well.

I use the crafter #1 template Basara posted. Seems to work well.

    Currently I have the following

    120 Blacksmithing
    120 Tailoring
100 Mining (might stone off to another char) and add fletching
    100 tinkering
    96 ish Armslore
    97ish Imbuing

I have Carp,LJ, and Inscribe on stones. I have to train fletching again though.

I was thinking of having one guy to be able to craft all the weps and armor and maybe another guy as a resource gatherer. I'm not sure about Imbuing though, do I need a companion skill on it for better results?

Does Arms Lore give you much benefit?
