    Chaps

I want to make a weapon for killing the blackrock golems with my sampire. I just managed to make a 100% cold damage Daisho. I was planning to imbue max sl, ml, ssi - what should the last power be?

    Thanks

If you got mace and shield glasses, imbue hit lower attack , if not lower defence.

If you need a daisho for feint, imo HLA is more important. HLD would fall under "nice to have", but not necessary. just offscreen and use healing if you whiff too many times.

or, if you have 100 DI on your suit and dont need it on the weap, use a non exceptional elemental and put HLD too. eliminating HSL seems to work for throwers because they do so at range and can pop divine fury, but on a swordsperson i think you get hit too often to want to spam divine fury/pots... but that could also be another candidate to remove from the weap to make room for HLD to lower whiffs.

I still don't understand why people are going out of their way to make special temps and weapons to fight these things. I stood there with my regular old macer sampire just lightning striking this, while unmounted even. Never head to run, use refresh pots, nothing, just str and agilities.

and it still only took 14mins each

Thunderz, I don't understand your comment re ssi.

Cetric, I suspect that your suit is a 100m+ one. Perhaps when you see my question....

Would you suggest I use the last slot on the weapon for hci or the HLA as I currently only have 28 hci. I just spent all my gold on a +20 scroll.

I wouldn't waste a 100% cold daisho on a temporary creature. I'd make that daisho a demon slayer or a dragon/reptile slayer. Perfect for Semidar and Rikki.

I actually just used my Rikktor killer soul glaive on the golem. It's 30 DI, HML 37, HSL 44, Dragon Slayer, 30 SSI, 60 cold/40 energy. Worked great, popped consecrate now and then.

I think I agree with obsidian, 100% cold is so hard to make its kind of a waste to make one for these critters.

If you special craft a 100% cold killer I would maybe leave 1 imbue slot "blank" for slayer so that you can turn it into a rikky/stygian dragon killer or use it for another purpose when the golems are gone. Daishos are fast enough that if you put SSI on your suit, like turq ring+tinker legs etc, that you don't need SSI on the daisho.

Or you can probably easily make a partial cold killer by doing the following. Use DC runics and find a daisho which has partial cold and physical. Then enhance it with shadow for +20% cold or agapite for +30% cold and +20% energy. You'll end up with a weap which is 40-60% cold, which is pretty nice, you won't have to pop consecrate as often but won't have to spend weeks crafting. Agapite is counted as a double enhance so double chance of failure btw, wear an ancient hammer.

    Well

As I am an impatient chap, I did go out and imbue the 100% cold Daisho with: 30ssi, hml 50, hsl 50, hla 44, di 40.

Sort of regret it now given the comments, but c'est la vie!

I still can't come close to killing the golums without someone healing and it is taking about 30 min to kill. I don't have any of the non - armor pieces that most have on their suits which I suspect is what is causing the problem.

These things have 150 or more wrestling sometimes. So to hit them most of the time, you need hld as well. If you want to use someting else then ls, you need a lot of hci as well.
Other then that, honor it, enemy of one, keep confidence running and use evasion if necessary. If your mana allows it, keep feint running, it lasts 6 seconds.
Dont know if hla really makes a difference against them, as most of their damage output seems to come from their boulder attack which is ranged.
Also more players make it harder, not easier, because these golems do counterattack which causes area damage everytime.

Also watch your stamina , your weapon needs 120 stam for cap speed and the golem attack can drop your stamina very fast.
