making Dark Tower into movie/tv series
    IGN Advertisement

if your unfamilar with Dark Tower it is a fantasy series by Stephan King.
If your unfamilar with Kings books his best are
    the stand
    it
    dark tower series

in his books he always references 1 other book as an easter egg. In dark tower he may just reference ALL his other books (i am unsure but i saw alot of them)

King is not so much a horror writer but someone who has 10 threads of story that eventually wind themselves together into a larger story.

Looking forward to this. May have to re-read the whole series, but that would take some time...

Stephen King is simply the best! I have read most of his books and seen the movies made from those books and I can say this the book is always better then the movie :)

Books written by him also include:
    Christine
    Cujo
    Pet Sematary
    The Langoliers
    Dreamcatcher
    Misery

    and lots lots more....

The last book or three ruined the Dark Tower series.

I think Wolves of the Calla was the last book I really enjoyed.

the stand is the only book i actually read (make sure you read the full length one -1100 pages)
the rest I have listened to - probably 90% of all his books

The bests listens by far are the ones he reads himself.
the drawing of the 3 and wastelands were definatly enhanced by King reading them himself (too bad he didnt read the rest)

I was suspended from school in the fourth grade for reading "Cujo" in class.

    :(

I bet I've read "The Stand" twenty times. If you liked it check out "Swan Song" by Robert.. McGammon? McCammon? I don't remember...

I actually believe it has some parallels with both the Stand and the Gunslinger series and inspired quite a bit of the Gunslinger novels.

Also, "The Talisman" and "Black House" are phenomenal books that tie right in with the GUnslinger novels...
