Was thinking of lowering max resist for DCI on my archer. I was wondering if DCI effects your chance to be hit by spells or just melee attacks.

Was wishful thinking I suppose. I run max resist spells was going to drop if it had worked in such a way. Better off just bumping phys and fire resist and losing a few dci I guess.
Thanks for the fast reply zchosen.

Approximately 2 DCI is a 1% less probability to actually be hit is a reasonable rule of thumb when you're thinking about the tradeoff of AR vs DCI

I think this is a good trade off in most cases for a PvM archer or thrower. You must be capped for HCI on a ranged char for damage effectiveness. The range and your mobility matter to keep you free from damage. Do think of your primary foes and ask whether you can keep a reasonable distance during the battle. Don't forget about side spawn as bunch of critters getting in your face even while you keep a safe distance to the boss can be deadly too.
