I got the message, a call to arms, your side has been chosen or whatever it says, you will be automatically be teleported within 60 secs. Then nada :(

Is the group picked randomly, because I have missed it twice now? I presume I'm on the right side because all the other players are also on the good side too. Am I doing something wrong? My pet is at level 15.

You have to conscript your pet first. Single click the wisp statue, and click conscript.

Thank you so much, just read about conscripting, still hopefully this can help anyone else who didn't realize what they had to do!

how do you get your pet to change 'alignment' and kill the same color pet so that you can get it from level 10 to level 15? Ie make my blue satyr attack blue stuff?

In order to get a pet to lvl 15, you have to leash an opposite alignment pet. So, if you are blue you need to get a neg karma pet, if you are evil, you need to get a good karma pet.

thanks will try that this time. Just did the boss with 3 of us on Oceania, two level 10 pets and 1 level 15 pet (all blue). Only the girl with the level 15 couldn't figure out how it changed alignment to tell us.She was a necro so figured she leashed the tzuki wolf and did something to it to make it change. Didn't realise you could 'leash' opposite alignment pets.

My first go got Compassion Eye so feeling pretty lucky !

Thank you! You're right the whole thing isn't very self-explanatory! If we didn't have players writing guides (Thank you Petra Fyde for the link!) a lot of people wouldn't really know what to do!

Got message that if I didn't go, I'd lose my pet even though pet was only level 7 at the time. So conscripted pet and off we went. Finally reached Andros and my asinine pet even though was in aggressive mode just stood outside a ring of other players and pets ( who had no issues pounding the champ). My dumb A$$ played spectator the whole time and didn't give or take one point of damage even after I clicked the wisp in my pack back and forth from Aggro to Defense. Was my pet borked, or was it user error?

Have to keep your pet aggresive at the Lord.

And the message says that when you conscript your pet the only way out of it is to release it. If the call of arms sound and you not ready , you don't have to conscript and can keep working on your pet till you feel its ready. The call of arms is roughly every 20 minutes.

If there many players around your pet might not be able to reach it to fight in close combat. It can be a good thing to train one of the archer type of mage type pets. :)

I can only suggest to try the different type of pets. sometimes one might suit better with you then the other.

Sounds like I misinterpreted the message so I went prematurely. OK, but even when my pet was in Aggro, it was just a benign bump on the edge of the log. Will try this again another night and hope for a pet that isn't such a wussy. Thanks for the words of wisdom.

Here's an odd thing that happened.

The pets appear to sometimes start conscripted, without you clicking to conscript them.

Then when the call comes you get left behind and toggled out of conscript without losing the pet.

You then have to toggle it manually, and wait until the next round.

On the bright side, that's more time to get to level 15....

I have picked up pets that are already leveled up a bit. I think maybe if someone leaves or gets disconnected and doesnt come back someone else can pick up their pet. Maybe i'm crazy. Who knows. =)

Some monsters level by itself when they fight opposite monsters that walk trough the gates. But if i remember right from TC you can not take control of one that is level 4 and up.

I've been running a loop. After I finish a call to Arms I quickly grab another pet and get it to level 3 or 4. By then there is another call to arms and I get to about level 8 by the time we get to the Boss by killing the spawn around the last level. Generally there are about 5 or 6 in there with theirs pets at 10 or 15. I call mine off if its attacked since the others take the hits better. I have yet to lose a pet and I always get looting rights and had a drop.

I was having problems this morning, I was negative karma, picked up one of the ethereal warrior guys, and proceeded to level it to 10, but the conscript button was always greyed out, i missed like 5 call to arms...and it wouldnt go to level 15. So i raised karma to positive, then retamed the level 10 and was able to conscript. Any ideas why it would be greyed out to conscript???

Petra a couple things you should add to your write up:

You click the orb and target a creature, Then it's automattically set at "Aggressive" if you click the orb again and target your pet it will become "Defensive" Meaning it won't attack unless attacked. (This is important if you want to walk past another player or your pet attacks someone you don't want it to you need to tell it to be "defensive" and let the other player pass)

Also... clicking the orb and then targetting the orb will lengthen your leash on them. So you can travel far away from your pet and it won't follow you. If you do that again it'll shorten the leash back up allowing you to get it to follow you closely again.

As well if you click the orb and target another monster it'll be attached to it... not really sure how that's beneficial but it's there.. I found it rather annoying one time I had a good one at 9 and it got stuck following someone out and down the stairs before I could call it off and I never could get it to follow me after that. Had to just release it and go get another.

I didn't write more details on how to use the wisp orb controls because I wasn't sure I had them fully worked out. The only time I used the 'anchor' I anchored the pet/conscript to a cauldron to keep it parked while I lured something to it when it wasn't very strong yet.
Most of the time I kept my conscript in defensive, toggling it to aggresive when I was close to what I wanted it to fight. ( I put the orb into a hotbar slot with target set 'stored' where 'stored' was the conscript I was working with).

Like that idea of putting the orb in the hotbar... Haven't done that yet. I'm sure if I do the runs more I'll certainly take that advice. Not a bad idea.

No worries, and not often I get thanked for being a noob! ;) But yeah I struggled to find anything which explained it at first, so yeah thanks to Petra for taking the time to write guides up, really are invaluable to players who don't know how things work or have been away a while.

A little tip which have led to me getting artifacts more frequently. Sorry if someone has already covered these but...
-Level 15 pet, I have no actually facts to back this up, but I presume the more damage your pet does the more chance you have of getting a drop. The pain is controlling a creature which can be targeted by others players means they can killed killed quite easily by griefers or just by accident sometimes until they turn blue. I hope this will be fixed, but I have found lurking about until a call to arms is issued helps. The dungeon tends to be a lot more empty and a lot easier to level the pet up with the dungeon less crowded.

I have been using my mage and my ABC archer, I've had more luck using my archer and this is probably because I can target the wisps while my creature goes in on the boss. Problem is with only Chiv to heal the pet can go down easily. So I'm thinking of moving vet to my archer via soul-stones and will let you guys know how it works for me.

The one thing I've noticed is if a large number of pets and players are surrounding the boss, there is not enough "tiles" around the boss for everyone's pets to stand on and be able to hit from that are close enough.

Seriously, you shouldn't need an instruction manual to play in a dungeon.
