    Hey devs,

If you're going to rebuild Magencia, I have 1 request and 1 suggestion.

Request - Please do not overdo decoration of the city, please keep it somewhat simple and uniform for the city. (as logically it would all be built at the same time) Either that or restore the old city as it was.

Suggestion - If you're rebuilding it anyway, perhaps make it into an advanced learners area for new players beyond haven, make it a logical step up for new players to go from New Haven (which really needs to be fixed) and on to New Magencia. Add quests and heck, if you're really feeling bold, add a dungeon there too (perhaps locked to account age).

    Keep up the good work.

  2. As long as they do something with it.I would like to see Magencia built from the labors of the players of each shard. Like what is done with the zoo. Instead of animals popping up,buildings would be constructed. The builders would require stones, lumber and gold.

Logically, Magencia should be rebuilt as... what a herder village? I don't remember exactly.

As it being a place beyond from what new Haven is... No.

Not because I oppose the idea, but generally doesn't make much sense.

I think the new player experience needs an entire re-vamp, not just running around towns going from 0-40, 40-60, ect. Nice idea, it's an option.

I'd prefer that brand new players start off with a basic set of decent armor with 50's in all resists. it'd be blessed. Increase in starting character money. updating the "starter" templates to start with higher skills, nothing too high of course.

Unfortunately, these ideas also make starting out much easier, thus shortening the journey we all went through. I personally enjoyed the journey of traveling for creatures to kill so my swords and tactics would increase. Was fun.

So, my much prefered idea would be an entire reworking of the skill system in UO. IE 50 skill isn't worthless, you can actually do things with it Add bonuses for having certain amount of skill being real skill. IE, an extra 10% DI cap for having 100 swords, Real, vs modified.

  5. Are you making fun of my accent? :p It's funny when a pirate schools me on how to speak a word.

Your accent? Its called Magincia, nothing to do with your accent. Its like saying Frunce when you mean France.

  7. Haven't spent much time in the south have you? They ALWAYS say Frunce when they mean France.....

My suggestion is award a house plot in the middle of New Magincia with a Mayor title. :D

    :EDIT:
Also a village idiot title and blessed rotten tomatoes that can be thrown at me..... err, I mean him/her.

... down here in Texas, France is pronounced, "Fray-unce". Making single syllable words into multi syllable ones is an art form. (art form - pronounced "awe-urt foe-urm." for example)

While Magencia is important, we should also have more events in Moongrow, Brittian, Jehlum, and maybe also Dulecia.

Well I guess my attempt at humour failed miserably.

They should just rebuild the city the way it was - maybe add a few memorial type things to remember the devestation based on extensive pride (just to be inline with the transition from Ultima IV to Ultima V).

Sorry, my attempt at spotting humor failed. I usually just read for content and ignore speeling.

They should have Magincia on both facets be a Fel-only rules set, with no item insurance, and all non-red characters will be required to spend at least 4 hours there per calendar month.

They also should drape the entire city in a neon rainbow colors, and do something that causes extra lag. Maybe locate it on Draconi's home computer (I'm sure he needs the money he'd get from hosting a server), through an 8k modem, for some real old-school UO.

And, finally, new players should spawn there instead of New Haven. There will be a noob-only gate that leads directly to New Haven located in the center of Magincia, but the noobs will spawn in the Parliament Building and will have to run through a gauntlet of PKs, neon decorations, lag, and an NPC mayor spamming heavily asking for sexual favors and talking in old school leet-speak.
