Definitely originating in EA's network. I'm thinking maybe a dos attack?

Well I haven't experienced this kind of thing for at least eight years. I connect at all times of the day and that hop isn't in my traceroute.

This is a known issue that keeps cropping up from time to time.

We struggled with this last year at some point before it was addressed.

It made UO unplayable for many of us for a few weeks until it was straightened out.

    I literally could.....not....walk....

The words ironic, irony, and ironically are sometimes used of events and circumstances that might better be described as simply "coincidental" or "improbable," in that they suggest no particular lessons about human vanity or folly.

I should of used the word "coincidental" so this issue can be dropped. Wow!!!! It amazes me this is more an issue then what the OP issue is. But to each his own :p

Strangely enough, I'd consider the fact that it's screwing up more than UO to be good news.

The more trouble it's causing, the more likely it is to get fixed :D

I dont know how other players net providers deal with this. I just called mine and told them the issue and they said they would contact that isp and let them know there is a problem.

I blame the FCC and their most recent ruling for "net neutrality".

I think the specific problem that the East Coast shards were having was fixed yesterday after a few hours. It was either in EA's network, or their service provider's, at "144.223.246.6".

Well seeing as this affects your p(l)ayers, that is a good thing.
