DEVS PLEASE FIX CURSE

    My suit has 85 fire and I have 120 resist yet a low level spell drops all my elemental resists to 60?

    People like to talk about investing skill points, why does the curse spell do the same to the elemental resists with zero resist? This has been a huge problem since day one but never addressed why?
    With 120 resist the curse spell should do 2/3 tops…or even have a chance to be resisted all together.

    Just look at the numbers… total resists lost...25 fire and 45 from the others 70, for what 4 mana and no chance to resist it @ 120!

    Does anyone else think this is nuts?
    While this was made tolerable with Apples and SDI caps, the recent changes have made fighting a pure mage plain crazy.
    Please leave Apples and SDI as they are, Just reward the 120 skill points spent in resist!!

    Please note that I am not asking for a Nerf...rather a boost to the Magical Resist skill.

    Lol curse is intended to drop you to 60 all elementals. Nothing wrong with it

    Yep. And in my opinion all form spells etc should also subtract from the 70 baseline, not what uber level the armor totals up to. 70 is max, even if you build a suit beyond that any negatives should start from there.

    so your stats are 100/25/100 or do you also wear an uber suit...please. it's ok to raise stats and skills but not resists...that is a silly statement my friend.

    i guess you dont use casting jewls or hci/dci as well....

    Everything you mention also has caps. When you hit those caps then it should CAP in my opinion, period. After all, that's the definition of a cap. An upper limit that can not be exceeded. *shrugs*

    It's a shame there are a lot of good threads out there that ask for legitimate fixes, and it's a shame they're buried amongst threads like this.

    just so i understand, it lowers resist caps by 10, And stats by up to 13, both? (scalable by resist skill)

    The only part of this I like is the idea of making Curse resist-able.

    It makes sense that the magic resist skill should have some effect on a debuff spell like curse.

    why with 120 resist do i fail to resist any part of such a low level spell?

    that is the weird part

    the stats are determined by your resist...the elementals are just a flat drop to 60 regardless of your resist...make no sense??

    Resisting Spells skill already works vs Curse, It reduces how much Curse takes away from str,dex, & int.

    I'd imagine your talkin in about this in a PvP aspect, as really there are Very few mobs in-game that cast Curse. Slasher of Veils is one of them.

    its just obvious you are upset because you overbuffed your resist for corpse skin and people curse you to get a similar effect.
