It's clearly too late for this publish, but keep Tram ruleset in Tram and Fel ruleset in Fel... why would you make them cross over like this?

It's going to be a serious problem for many of us... I know speaking for myself, I'll intentionally go nowhere other than Luna and directly to certain marked buildings for quest givers... where I can be in and out in 30 seconds or less.

In the end, you know you have two VERY DIFFERENT audiences (well far more than two) who will never see eye to eye, so why force one groups play style on another? No good can come from it.

They just say there will be no guard zones while cities are under attack. They say nothing of fel rulesets in tram.

I must have missed the part where it said we would have Fel ruleset in Trammel. All I saw was the guardzone will drop. Not exactly the same thing.

How are they forcing another playstyle on you? It's not like you're going to get PK'd or forced into a faction fight yourself in Trammel. Some towns are going to have spawns in them... how that's determined (whether it be by a developer's whims or by a faction fight on another facet) shouldn't really affect you at all.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what they are posting...

If there are no guards and someone steals from my pack in say Minoc Tram, what happens? Someone casts Mind Blast on me or tells a Greater Dragon to "All Kill" my miner in Brit... What happens?

Spawn is spawn... They can do what they want about that, though I also don't like that being manipulated by what's going on in PvP in Fel...

I think he just mis-read the notes...thinking that fel ruleset would apply in tram while the tram cities are under attack.

Can people steal from you in Trammel dungeon?
It's not a guardzone though, right?
Ruleset has nothing to do with guardzones.

Absolutely nothing because players cannot steal from nor attack one another in Trammel unless guilded or at war. The Trammel ruleset is still in place... the removal of guards from the cities keeps people from guardwhacking invasion spawn and nothing more.

Can anyone cast mind blast on you in the desert of compassion now? or sic a dragon on you? That's a nonguard zone area now. The stealing mentioned in the notes was being done by NPCs. There was a post here by someone thinking they would be able to steal from you too, but that's not what the notes say.

Edit: Sorry MagicMan, I guess this looks like a gangbang but we were all typing at the same time I suppose. Good to question this though since the Dev's are known to slip up.

OK then never mind... I thought they were making the towns Fel Ruleset by removing the guard zones... my bad. :gee:

Nope, just dropping guard zones so players can cast the full range of spells and not have guards interfere with their hunting.

Er, I mean, "the forces of the chaos have used the sigils to penetrate the protections of Trammel!"

Edit: I should also mention that the guard zones in Trammel only go down when the invasion in that city is active - they're restored once the sigil is recaptured.
