You have to say "I renounce my young status" then Siege comes up on your shard list. We'd really like some sort of Easter event, so if you could find our shard, that would be swell

Ok I finally figured out this wonderous made for easter quest on Chesapeake on a chr. I had there.

It took me a few run thrus to figure it all out, what with the place to begin, the magic word to utter to enter the mysterious new areas. Then figured out how to climb the vines and lily pads without fallin off of em all, to get to the next area ...to claim the dragon easter egg. Never saw the tiny driad to say magic word to first go round only saw the red dragon to speak to, so I had to repeat it all, to get the bonzai thingie. etc. addin to the confusin fun of it all.

Only did said quest one time, on one chr. there, and decided. oh this all is kinda fun, next I will go to it on SIEGE.

Soooooooo I go on SIEGE to begin the quest, THERE !

And while some are complaining on one shard ...is that all there is ?
ya go on Siege and all there is is not even that much !!!

    NOTHING BIG NOTHING !

I went to telescope like on Chesapeake spoke the magical word, & NOTHING happening for Easter on Siege..or are we missing some wonderous Siege weirdo peculiar different starting point for said easter dragon egg, bonzai quest...or are WE SIEGE GYPED and forgotten again, again ??? :(

I am TRYING to restrain me anger here, but it is a holiday,

some of us DO play on a reg. shard AND on SIEGE and the oft injustice is mindbogglin if not anger makin, to be left out, forgotten or ignored of everything all the other customers get especially for holidays, but on Siege 9999999% of the times especially for holidays it remains....NOTHING
EQUAL or the same, at all for us on Siege !

    *( crys
no dragon easter egg for BOTH my Queen Zen chrs.
cuz one of the two of em*also* plays SIEGE ! :(

QZ, I predict someone official will show up in General chat on May 5th and ask if Siege wants an event. There will then be a 15-minute Easter egg roll in one of the fenced enclosures in Magincia and only the North Americans will be able to attend because the Europeans will all be in bed. Requests for a delay and advance notification will go unheeded "because there's a new patch coming tomorrow."

*Puts away her unblessed, slightly cracked Crystal Ball of Knowledge and proceeds with the usual Siege business.*

[QZ, I really hope I'm wrong. However, because you can't transfer stuff from Siege to elsewhere, I don't think it's high on anyone's priority list to make sure people who play on Siege and enjoy collecting unusual items have something new to look forward to once in a while. The opportunity for people to benefit from RMT sales of Siege items is too small for the effort involved. If Siege gets an event at all, the main goal of whoever holds the event will be to make sure only a few people get items. The rarity of the items is thus ensured for the few people on Siege who have the means and interest to engage in a bidding contest to see who ultimately acquires them. That bidding war, in the end, is what certain people for the last few years seem to think makes for a "real" Ultima Online event.]

Don't forget Showing up 2 hours before the event is supposed to start and announcing in general chat it will be starting a hour early, so that the large number of us on the west coast and in Europe who managed to set aside time in their schedules at an inconvenient hour show up on time to learn that the event has already been over for a half hour!

    :eyes::eyes::eyes:

I had the pleasure to finally meet a real EM on Chesapeake while fetchin another easter dragon egg/bonsai tree combo, a while, after I posted the above post of mine.

Ummmmmm and instead of sayin something nice like happy easter glad to finally meet you, I shouted something, politely shouted, but shouted...
like a starved sieger on chesapeake, but siegey pupdog wanting a scrap of food......ON siege...
    what about SIEGE ! ? I shouted !

I was calmly assured/reassured that SIEGE is getting an Easter event.
I continue to make me plea anyhow saying stuff like 'yall really need to get to know all them siegers they really are worth it ya know.

I was informed that not all the shards' easter stuff is up and running yet, and Siege's is going to be somewhat different than Chesapeake's.

Anyhow...:eyes: EM say something to me like YOUR QUEEN ZEN ?

I was on a different chr. I truthfully confessed, yes that is me ......I take it ya read me post then too on UO HALL huh ? :eyes:

    yes it was read...etc.
From all the stuff I seen on Chesapeake, all them tiles to create the spiffy just for easter, peculiar easter egg bonzai gathering places, it all looked quite time consuming 'on their part', to create.

I have told the restless natives in game chat after we spoke in game, that we Siege, ARE gonna get Easter & ye said so to me.

    *goes to hide*

Ye do have...nice sandals, btw :)

Siege's Easter event kicked off this evening. Had great fun running around with Czarina collecting clues, going down dead ends, losing two LRC suits and a spellbook, touring Khaldun for the first time, and ultimately reaping the reward. My only complaint was that bribing Harold to get him to talk required the use of jelly beans, which many newcomers and vets returning to Siege would not have. Czarina graciously gave me a pile of them to use.

Thank you, EM Drosselmeyer and whoever else put this together!

Every shard handled the event differently. For example, Atlantic had NPCs you had to talk to with the right keywords, then clickers at the end. The items were the same on every shard, but the way to get them varied depending on the EMs of that shard.

  10. yay! glad Siege got their event!

I heard via the grapevine that it was actually EM Acies of Lake Austin who built the Easter event for Siege. So, thank you to EM Acies for the fun. (Maybe you could put a jar of jellybeans in the Brit counselor's hall though, because many folks on Siege do not have them.)
