Devs, when will you delete the FACTION POINT SYSTEM totally?

    Devs,

    Please kindly remove the "Faction Point System" totally as it serves no purpose to encourage pvp at all. There are much more cons than pros for keeping "Faction Point System"

    1. The faction system are based on a % to reach rank 10. Rank 10 = 10% of the total population in the faction if i am correct. Which means that if 10% pvmers just farm points and reached 50 pts, then the requirement for pvpers to reach rank 10 would be over 50 pts.

    To explain, this is ridiculous as I alone already have 20 pvp chars stand by needing to kill enemies constantly for getting points.

    2. To be honest, the faction thief steal sigil system also do not benefit me as a working person, I do not have 4 hours gameplay to sit there and wait for it to corrupt. It only benefit those who could continously farm points without effort of participating in wars at all.

    There are no one guarding sigils thus making getting 80 pts for people who have time on hand and no pvp experience way too easy.

    3. If you see the problem, majority or even ALL, the highest point holders are really "ONLY" point holders. You will never really see these people come out and pvp you at all. So again, is this encourage pvp or encourage abusing the farming point system just to wear the better faction armors??

    4. Since all pvmers who never come to Felucca are wearing the Faction armor to fight monsters in Trammel,Malas,Ish,Tokuno. Alright, so leaving h3ll to the pvpers in Felucca to struggle with daily kill points and daily unequipped risk after the server updates. Is this encourage pvp again?

    All I know is that in many cases, when a pvper logs on suddenly 1 day, and find out that their armor is not on their body anymore. They just simply wont pvp that day. This is NOT encouraging more pvp in Felucca. This is indirectly Discouraging pvp instead.

    5. Many pvm guilds in trammel, abuse this method by creating opposing faction thieves and steal. Then killing by the 3x points char method for their own members so their own members could reach Rank 10 for all chars the next day.

    When the actual pvpers have got enough kill points then the pvmers will realize that the points needed to rank 10 need more. So continously doing the same method for farming more again.

    Ending up that the requirement of being Rank 10 is ridiculously high.


    Anyways, I hope Devs you would consider this issue. Faction point is no longer proving anything in Faction at all in the current state. Please remove it totally. Or please remove the RANK requirement for the faction items.

    I think what matters with the faction system are how is the system intended to be used and how is it actually being used. I've seen enough shenanigans with the system to believe that perhaps some of the tricks are not as intended.

    A few months back when no one cared about factions, my guild joined the Minax faction. The former commander had set the faction tithe rate to 100%, and any time we got enough points to raise a rank, a day or so later, some mysterious person we never saw would be rank 10 and messup the faction election again. Fortunatly, we were using factions for roleplay reasons and didn't really care about rank.

    Now with super powerful artifacts, I suspect people are working even harder to control the factions for personal gain. I don't have a problem with this if people are killing each other for the right.

    The intention of factions originally was to provide organized pvp. The additions recently seem to be intended to reward the best as pvp. It isn't a game of how many alts on secondary accounts can one coup de grace.

    I don't like the point system either...

    Btw, rank 10 is supposed to be top 1%. Google the faction stratics page.

    Actually I am not speaking for just me and my friends here.

    I am listing the facts and flaws of what the faction system is being used today by the majority "cowards"

    Anyhow, in my term, if you join faction and not willing to participate in fights and want to use these benefits are considered cowards.

    I mean it is fine in this way if you do not want to participate as everyone should have its freedom.

    However, if because of this that affect the majority of pvpers such as me, my friends and many others in the game then it is really not fair in my opinion.

    Speaking of fact, why is there faction in the first place?

    Faction = improve the activity and pvp in Felucca
    Faction = improve the interaction between players of each factions which can be seen in Felucca more than in Trammel,Malas,Ish,Tokuno.

    So now its like 90% of the people abusing the system by getting 50-100 pts on their pvm chars and 500 to 5000 kill points on their thief so to supply them points for the Trammel,Malas,Tokuno,Ishenlar pvm activities.

    Whilst many who participate in the pvp in Felucca are actually suffering from unequipped by the daily update system quite frequently.


    Honestly, please DEVS, focus on this thread and give us a reply at least.

    The best solution to this is as per following:-

    1. Remove kill points totally
    2. Remove the RANK REQUIREMENT for all the faction artifacts.


    #2 will be much easier I believe.

    yeah the rank requirement is lame... they shouldn't have put that in with the way ranking currently works.

    imo they should remove all rank requirements/limitations for everything, and just leave showscore as an otherwise useless statistic just to keep track of your k:d

    I proposed this many times. Everytime listing different flaws and damage bringing to us to our pvp community.

    The currently ranking system is driving people away from pvp and not actually getting more people to pvp.


    However, so disappointed. My title of this thread mentioned "DEVS"

    Yet, many many times no Devs will give a respond to this.

    Is it so hard to REMOVE THE RANK REQUIREMENT for faction items???
