Ok I still can't wrap my head around this a bard comes to yew gate i'm all alone fighting twenty people and winning with my greater flagging on at a time and guard wackin everyone else. Discorder comes in discords and peaces my dragon to the point that I can't even move it and it runs away from me. Yet the bard stays blue to me even tho it is steady attacking my dragon. Yup thats stupid and needs to be changed.

The way you describe it makes it sound like it's a good balance.

You would think it wasn't stupid huh? But be honest its the dumbest thing in the whole game I would love to be able to attack people and not flag them :/

Disco against PC pets should make the bard flagged to the tamer at least.
That being said, super dragons shouldn't be "interested in attacking" PCs.

To be honest, you are causing more prejudice to your case than it desserves.

On that point I disagree. A tamer should be able to defend himself by using his pet(s).

There used also to be such a proposal enabling the use of pet(s) when the tamer was attacked. If a tamer is alone with his GD and two reds arrive, he should not have to wait two explo/FS combo's before using his GD.

If there is a balance problem with a pet, one should balance/fix the pet and not introduce a complicated system, based on a buggy flag system.

Meh I don't care about other pets... I just don't think superdragons should be a pvp weapon. Sorry.

I can see why your dragon ran off, poor beast was ashamed at having to sit in a guardzone and play Yew gate "PvP".

You're telling us that you were able to sit in that guardzone popping people off or getting them whacked, until the bard turned up. So had the bard been unable to disco or peace your pet because of flagging, you'd have sat there spamming all kill/guards with impunity for how long? How many players do you think you should be killing in that way before you're a problem tamer that needs fixing? How much power is too much for you?

I wish someone would just remove the guardzone at Yew gate so you and tamers like you had to PvP properly in the open. Then if you want bards flagged, by all means. I know exactly how to modify my bards to work around flagging, so it doesn't concern me. But while you're able to pop people off with invulnerability until a bard shows up, the bard doesn't need the change. You do. Then we can talk about bards.

I'm hoping it is, but it wouldn't be the first time a gate tamer *was* serious :D

I'm very serious I think this needs looked into big time. If a bard is attacking my pet why can't I defend myself without getting a murder count? I have nothing I can do against it but watch my dragon walk away from me.

They discord my dragon then peace it over and over it just stands there then starts to walk away nothing I can even do about it. I am left helpless standing there.

I think this should be looked at thought about then fixed for the next publish.

And then you can sit in guardzone, kill any red within targetting distance with impunity, right? You don't see anything wrong with that suggestion?

As for being helpless without your dragon, try, y'know, casting and stuff. That usually helps things along a bit. All kill isn't the be all and end all of tamer PvP.

    lol

    Tamers aren't invinsibel anymoerz!!!11 :loser:
It's always been like that. Bards > Tamers. If you have the guts to put bard skills in your PvP template, you are rewarded.
