Could some explain to me how they work? I think it's Demon Slayer + any Elemental Slayer?

Do they drop somewhere special or is it just luck?

2. if you make "slyer bow" whit and runic fletching tool you could get up to 3 slayers on 1 bow

I'm pretty sure 2 slayers is max by making a slayer bow, made a couple the other day for laughs, got a double, terathan and frost spider slayer.......

If you were obscenely lucky you could actually make a triple slayer by making a runic heartwood slayer longbow:
- slayer longbow gives you one
- runic might give you one
- heartwood might give you one

Then again, if you were that lucky, I suggest you didn't waste time crafting bows in UO, and go buy some lottery tickets instead.

Will have to test that on TC

6. Is it possible to make a double super slayer?

7. While highly unlikely, yes it is.

Go ahead - I am sure I didn't make even a double slayer by using heartwood kit and the 500 heartwood boards you get on TC, but theoretically it should be possible.

If it's a Demon/Elemental slayer, take it to Doom. Dark Father is Demon & Elemental. I believe you will do QUADRUPLE DAMAGE with that bow! [IMG]

10. Actually, the Elemental aspect only adds an addditional 50% to the damage instead of the 100% you get from a Demon slayer, but it's still a massive boost.

It's possible the OP could have run into one of the old school Juka bows that had the double slayer property on it. There's still a few around. I actually know someone that just sold off a 10yr old account that had one on his Archer. He'd been using that bow in Doom since there WAS a Doom, and had been extremely successful there with it.

I was under the impression that they nerfed the extra damage you recieved with a double slayer on the dark father.

I laugh when I see all those selling posts at tradeforums and rares forums for these type of juka bows. They only work when there is a huge crowd in Doom and DarkFather is not after your ass.

BLOOD OATH

If you do uber high damage (150-300) of that kind, one casting of this spell and your archer will be dead in the next second as your arrow is already in mid flight.

Second, your high damage causes DF to keep switching targets to you and you will run.....causing the warrior tanks no end of hassle as they chase after the DF.

Third, there is no Hit Lower Attack, Hit Lower Defence on that bow that will help out the whole group in killng the DF.

Fourth, such bows have no Swing Speed Increases or Mana,Life,Stamina Leeches.

In other words, the archer is reduced to a selfish, trouble causing, damage dealing nuisance. He/She cannot tank / solo the DF successfully and his/her presence actually makes the DF harder to kill by dragging it all over the place.

A team-orientated and smart archer uses quick bows (Cheap Night Reaper !) that won't kill themselves in a second and have time to disarm after BLOODOATHed.

It's always obvious when such 'supposedly-uber' archer turns up at Doom. People usually don't res them when they die or help dispel the revenants on them.

In a nutshell, Doom Points are awarded to the top 16 damagers. If there are less than 16 people in Doom, you will get points as long as you get rights to the monster's corpse. It is to your advantage to help out the others so that the monster can die faster and everyone moves on to more rounds.

Being fixated on just dealing uber damage rings the 'NOOB' alarm loud.

* Note : These double slayer juka bows were good only up till the period they introduced Necro AI to monsters and Darkfathers plus Mini Boss learn to BLOODOATH ... so take their PAST success with a grain of salt and not get conned into buying a cannon that fires backwards.

13. Hmm. I use a Demon Slayer heavy crossbow that does 145-170 damage to the DF (267 crits), and have no trouble surviving Blood Oath with the recent changes to it. I have 102 Resist, so actual damage I do to myself is around 40'ish.

As far as the Night Reaper vs slow, hard hitting bows, I've found that the ones with Night Reaper draw more aggro than I do, as they hit much more often, thus having that many more chances to draw the DF's attention. I can normally stand in one spot for extended periods of time and keep plucking away while the repeater archers are running around in circles. The only time I really have to move is when one of the bone spawn locks onto me, or when I get the occasional revenant.

14. I was just browsing the Archer forum for the first time and your post really made me laugh. It was some time ago since you made this post, but I really do want to inform people to not be as short-sighted as you !!!
That is actually what rings the "NOOB" alarm loud...

I use a Daemon/Elemental slayer bow, and have been using it for several years. I deal an average damage of 220+ per hit, maybe it's not the highest dmg per second but I like it ^^.

1. Bload oath. Can be very harmfull IF you are watching TV at the same time or not paying attention in any other way. It deals about 70-80 dmg to me, true. But ever thought about Vampiric embrace? Sure helps a lot...

2. Who cares if he switches to you, as long as your resists are decent enough, I've dealt with the DF (after all the changes) with just 2 other people without dying, but nowadays doom is camped anyways so it sure as hell doesn't matter. Again, VE helps a lot [IMG]

3. Whole group? There are enough players around to lower attack and defense chance, so no need for another! Furthermore, I doubt if there is anyone (outside guildplay and parties) who actually go to doom so others can do more damage... Remember, your chane to get arties is higher if YOU are higher on the dmg toplist.

4. Mine has 10 SSI, as it was enhanced. Again, the VE is a nice idea if your short of hitpoints. ML, LL and SL is nice, if it's like 50%, otherwise fairly useless. Plus there's always meditation, focus or armor mods.

About the selfishness, the only ones who are some of the bushido archers.
They are the ones who f*ck up the DF's. Ever wondered why 2-5 more DF's come running in while you are still at 90% killing the 1st? It's the darn bushido archers who honored them. Why? Cause they want to get there 100% DI themselves. So don't talk about someone with a dual slayer being selfish !!!

Furthermore, I among other users of dual slayers are very helpful to others and thus get the same help in return!!!
