EA- Straight Answer on 5pack discount for SA??

    Forgive me if I've missed this in the multitude of discussions, but I have not seen a straight answer in print from anyone at EA as to whether or not there will be a discount on the purchase of a 5 pack of the expansion in the same manner that there was for Mondain's Legacy.

    This is of particular importance to those of us on Siege/Mugen where we only have one character per account and most of us have multiple accounts. I'm sure it's just as important to those on prod shards who have multiple accounts.

    I feel this question is being ignored and or avoided.

    I would like to hear from SOMEONE at EA one of the following:

    1) No way
    2) Umm, we don't know yet
    3) We are looking into it
    4) We know and can't tell you
    5) (deleted so I can be a better person)

    Hopefully we will hear soon as I need to decide how many accounts
    I will upgrade depending on whether we will get a discount or not. I know
    they did say they didn't know when I asked the question a week or two ago.

    Thanks for the info Deb. I'm in the same boat. A discount will mean I will upgrade all of my accounts right away. No discount means I might upgrade two of them or possibly only one for now.

    I tend to think people would like you if didn't constantly point out their faults or whine about how someone got something you didn't.

    That would be by phone I'm guessing?
    While I do want to upgrade, I'm not really keen on adding the cost of an international phone call on top. That's somewhat the reverse of the 'bulk buy discount' most of us are hoping for.

    Excellent point Petra. I think sometimes they forget that UO is a worldwide game, and calling the US isn't free for everyone.

    Sooo.... if I have to contact support to get more than one or two codes... then... well... I'm S.O.L.... heck by the time I get home from work can't call them, most the time.

    Petra beat me to my reply. Call' em. Phone cards, international are pretty inexpensive too. Also, calling from work is an option these days to alot of people........I needed help not too long back, and called at 9:01 Am cst, got through to a guy in Austin, tx. nice guy too.

    Better Not to Call Them

    I just spoke with an EA customer support rep. He told me that they typically discourage the purchase of expansion upgrades via Customer Support - that it takes a great deal more work. He recommended that I purchase multiple codes via UO Game Codes and apply them to my account at my leisure.

    at this point I'd just like to know I could be able to buy a 5 pack of codes, discount or not, and not use up all my buys for the month...
    (never seen a company sooo unwilling to take people's money...heck even pogo is much happier to bleed me dry, er let me buy stuff, all the time)

    EAJapan will have to give the discounts 1st and then (maybe) EA/Mythic will follow suit 6 to 9 months later.
