Scavenger Boat Race. Ealia has called us to the counselors hall for a fun new event. It would also be the first time her trainee Sirius would see these wonderful people that live here in action. A group of people where waiting for the new game to begin. Between them even some drunken sailors! A little bit nervous Sirius said: "Welcome to our first scavenger boat race". Ealia and Sirius explained the rules in two languages. But i am not sure that some of the intoxicated participants where listening very well. The rules where simple. At the docks of papua the boats would be placed in the water. Here they would sail east from the docks and follow the shore in a arch around the main land of the lost lands all the way to the other side. Along there voyage they would find fifteen boats all containing questions about the world they live in. They had to write down the answers in a logbook. This logbook had to be given back to Ealia and Sirius with the right answers. The first who arrived with all the right answers would win the race. The participants where divided in groups of three people. A captain of the ship. Someone who would go to the other ship and find the questions. And someone who would wrote down the answers in the logbook. The start was giving and the race was on! Only a few miles in the sea the first boat was found with the questions. In what Dungeon did the shadow wyrm walk around? Destard! These questions did not seem too hard for the average adventure. I do wonder if its smart to go sailing with a drunken captain! Drunken or not, these sailors know very well there way around the sees of Sosaria! They seem to find the boats with questions very well. Most questions where not to hard but the one that asked what the name of the gargoyle Queen was seemed to be the most difficult. We all well know Queen Dawn but it took a while to remember Queen Zhah! Ship eight and more then halfway the race! The first boat arrived at the finish. But there was a bit of a problem when the sailors gave there logbook to Ealia. It seems that the logbook got wet during the travel and some parts of the logbook was unreadable. The sailors where sure they wrote down everything nicely in the book. It was hard for Ealia to verify if all the Answers where correctly. Soon enough the second team arrived with there answers. They have kept there logbook dry. Ealia checked that book and all was answered correctly. The sailors that arrived first where not very happy that they would not win the race because there book got wet. Angry sailors with too much rum in there blood are hard to discuss with. Ealia had now a hard task to make a decision. Maybe this was one of the days only the Gods could solve the problems. Eventually things calmed down. It was the first time we had this kind of race. Today everyone who ended the race was declared a winner. I am sure this was a good experience for future scavenger boat races. But in all this event was a lot of fun. SUPER like someone said. For next time we have to make sure that the logbooks don't get wet and remove the writings in it. All the winners did get a nice reward for finishing the race. A nice new fishing pole. Engraved With everyone personal names. And my advice to everyone. Do not sail and drink unless you are a experienced drunk... or sailor! *winks* New Frarc, Drachenfels News reporter.
