Last night the people of Britannia gathered to declare the ratification of their own Magna Carta: the Great Charter of Britannia.

Thus begins the 6 month term of the Britannian High Council.

The Councilors each offered words of thanks to the gathered. Fig directed his gratitude to the assistants - such as James and Claudia - who had been instrumental in the drafting process. Fern Goodfellow and Elladan promised a new era for the Britannian people in their own ...unique fashion. And Charlotte Christianson indicated there would be positions within the new government for those who wish to serve her.

"Thank you all. I can assure you that we will do our best to serve you...
...and to make sure things continue to run as smoothly as possible.
For myself, I will have new positions open. So keep that in mind, if you seek to be in my service."

As the event drew to a close the Captain rose and distributed copies of the document.

The Councilors themselves wasted no time. Alliances were made. Measures of defense were discussed. And whispers of intrigued echoed off the walls of Britain for the rest of the night.
