I have tried to kill EV on auto attack with my sampire. I didn't use spells/moves/potions. I was surprised that it was so easy. My sampire is not finished yet (almost 40 skill points to train). I think I could kill it even without VE (using just natural hp regen).

Here is a video (2 min):

At the beginning of the video I don't do anything so my char is fighting on auto attack. Later I show AI using. Due to pure connection (I'm in a hotel) I am not always able to press the hotkey in time.

I use standard set of skills: sword/tactics/bushido/parry/chvialry/anatomy/necro
    Parry 94
    Bushido 118
683 total skill points used (if don't count 19 focus).

    I use woodland armor: 40 MI, 40 SI, 40 LMC, 20 DI, 35 HCI from 5 pieces.
15 SSI (+ 5 SSI on Ranger's Cloak) and 30 skill points on jewels

Here is a video with stats and equipment (3 min):

I have just counted that an EV hit me 14 times during all fight doing 12-14 damage per hit (about 180 damage total). I could add HLA to my weapon and get 120 parry to farther decrease this small amount.

That's pretty awesome. It's been a while since I've done UEVs. I am thinking this weekend of testing a new set up on TC and building it on Atlantic.

No Vampire would open up ~ 100 skill points for some other kind of awesomeness...

I have 'counted' few more EVs: I got 15-25 hits (usually less then 20).

Hi, I really enjoyed the video and have a question about the amount of times you are hitting the UEV? I fight the UEV all the time with max swing speed and skills, but my damage numbers, although higher than the ones in the video, don't stream off like yours are showing. Based on the quantity of visual numbers showing, it appears that you are hitting twice as many times as what I hit. What am I not seeing or understanding in your video?

    Thanks, Katrena

I don't know. I swing every 1.25 sec and with HLD I believe I have about 90% hit chance. There is nothing unusual.

Here is a new video (37 seconds without getting a hit from UEV):

I tested a weapon with HLA. Since I'm low on gold at the moment to spend 4m for test I made it with another Super Slayer. I have only 89 chivalry so my damage is too low and I'm not able to chain AI. I also didn't want to spend a lot of time for reforging so the weapon has only 50% Hit Fatigue.
I didn't test long. I just killed two UEVs - the first without recording and the second with recording. Then I selected the longest period without getting hit. I'm sure would I have killed few more UEVs I could find a longer period.

I just want to say this before the thread turns into another witch hunt to nerf a skill / template or beef up a mob to ridiculous levels. Are they easy to kill, yes, but not everybody tweaks their suit and skills out to the point UEVs drop like flies. The loot from these things is terrible. I've killed 100s of them and the odds of getting anything useful are slim. I've thrown UEVs into my not worth the effort category. And for record I usually drop them in about 4-5 minutes and get hit about 30-40 times due to my template and armor choices. So in an hour I can take down around 10 of them and usually only walk away with the gold and a worn down weapon.

I agree completely- but honestly, just about every creature in UO is like that, where you can build a specific suit/tactics to farm them effectively.

I farm UEVs for relics and void orbs. 40 relics (300k) and 10 orbs (300k) in a 30 min is not bad to me. I stop farm them when I will have 200 orbs for my crafter (but it seem I spend them faster then farm :)).
But really it's not important becouse...

It's not a weapon/suit/build designed to fight UEV. It's a pretty standard Sampire build/suit. I made this char (and this suit) over 1 year ago. I just repelaced 50 EP and 25 DI on the ring with 5 SSI and 30 skill points. For example, I can leave this char at Miasma and go to make a cap of tee then return and collect loot.

This post is not about my char. This post is about Hit Fatigue property. It gives very good defence vs mobs that is not killed with few hits. You do 10-15 hits and mob starts swing much slower. Hit Fatigue is even better than HLA.

(I'm going to test Hit Mana Drain as well. But since bosses usually have thousands points of mana I think it's not so useful.)

P.S. By the way this char is not the best for UEV farming. For UEV you'd better concentrate on attack and ignore defence. She need 120 tactics/anatomy, 20 more STR (to get 150 without potions) and a weapon with 100 HML 50 SSL to do better vs UEV. It takes me 3 min to kill an UEV and people did it faster 1-2 years ago even with 1H weapons.
