    In case ya don't read Uhall there is a poll there bout stat loss timer.
    I don't know them peeps don't know factions *today* either, but as a former
    factioner, I VOTED !!
    That 20 mins. stat loss always annoyed the heck out of me.
    Why not 10 mins. ?
    Like we got nothing better to do with our game time that sit around
    20 mins in stat loss, I voted that I prefer they adjust that timer to 10 mins. period !

    Maybe I never woulda left factions back in the day if they didn't make us, dork around for 20 fricken mins. twiddlin our toes !!!

    Your right - should be 2 hours at least - and automatic 1 week loss for killing non faction players.

    The reason for stat loss has lost a lot of meaning since faction players care little about faction bases and town control.

    Keeps you from stealing the sigil in base for 20 minutes, takes 15 minutes for sigil timer to reset. I think most worry more about 'gear loss' than 'stat loss' on siege without insurance.

    I'll say one thing about stat loss...it sure as hell slowed down fights. Wait for an hour till people on for a good group fight and then wait for another half hour before losing side was out of stat.

    Should be five minutes and you go in stat whether a factioner or non factioner kills yah!! Want to wear the pretty gear then yah need to pay the price if you die muhahahahahha

    Stat loss from silver serps @ despise plus dry looted by rats hurts a little more somehow...

    Thats the thing about stat-loss, especially in larger fights, it helps determine which sid has won the battle. Twenty minutes isn't that big a deal on Siege. It takes that long to re-equip or find out who has your gear and buy it back.

    I agree with this 20 minutes not really a big deal and its only matters felucca anyway so big deal

    20 minutes isn't really an issue, though it is a little long imho (if i go into stat i basicly put myself afk and am done with UO for the day...20 minutes is too long for me to wait around when i'm only playing a hour or two tops) but I DO take issue with this....even if not with stat I HATE that when i score kills in malas I don't get credited for it....they need to at the very least fix point transfers on other facets.

    Good call Raptor. Do we even have stat loss in ever facet and instance? Like in the elven tree? What ever that place is called.

    stat loss and point transfer only works in mainland fell, t2a, and the classic dungeons. (basicly anything where your worldid is 0, all locations on map0.mul) I "think" the elven tree is on that map but i'm not 100% sure (dunno where I put my map rips). Neither work in ilish, malas, tokuno, or the termur map (which includes the underworld, the abyss, and termur...it's all in one map there's just black surrounding each of them)

    Ugh...the abyss is the worst by far though because there's were people normally are, especially I4NI with their house being there. Not only do you get no points, but any of the gargs can freely fly over the lava bridges that don't allow humans making a easy "garg only" escape route.....and when you DO kill one that stupid silver sapling seed instantly resurrects them, full health, WITH ALL THEIR EQUIPMENT back at their guild house.....so you don't even get loot.

    Well once upon a time, when factions were new, having all 8 sigils was awesome, or stealin em back.

    But then like I said, tis been ages since I was in CoM back when factions were new, and it twas quite a challenge to even TRY to defend the once very airy most faction base in Magincia before the dev. team finally got around to making that base a bit more secure. Why I even had chrs. in opposing factions, chrs of mine, no one knew, and I put em in them opposing factions on purpose, as a SPY doing recon. :) I had fun cept for 20 mins of dorking around, in stat !
    Bleh now CoM ain't even in Magincia no more !

    I still gotz my screenshots though, on me hard drive, of one of the most crowded big fights on Chessie, with them vile Shadowlords, back in the day, attacking us enmasse by land and sneakin up behind us on ships too, in the then AIRY most faction base, to even try to defend eva, thus the challenge !!!

    Now its all more about foo-foos, items, and stuffs, and junk !

    *goes off to the old school UO dinosaur burial ground; where folks whom WERE even in ORDER once up a time, before the age of foofoo equipped suits, items and stuffs, go to DIE *

    And don't no one say : ADAPT, bleh some of us dont like adapting to bs like creation of insurance, trammel and so forth so we play HERE often, and maybe we get a few arrows into someone's butt, before we DIE with dignity without FOOFOOS & fancy yuppie UO crapola on us ! :)

    Yes...also, since when has there been recent group fights that last 20 minutes. I did see (while hidden) fights at Luna years ago, but most fights are 1vs1 and Stat loss does end it. Oh, by the way, 5 minutes is enough timeout. *stares* Yahaxithonix
