Few things about the event.

    Couple of things (not sure where i should post them).

    Can we get a healer in the camps as there's no were to res within miles of the event.

    Are orphidian rations ment to be dropping as loot on them?

    Some of the orphidians attack you (mainly the casters) even if your neutral with both sides and havent attacked anything.

    I think one of the problems of this event, in general, is there seems to be spawns of Ophidians near their camp that just spawn there like they, presumably, always have. I'll be honest, other than around Terr Keep, where I, once upon a time ago trained Magic Resist on the hills we can no longer recall to, I've never had a reason to fight Ophidians there. Closest I got was back when Blackrock training was around. Unless I'm missing something, these loose spawns of Ophidians always spawn and have nothing to do with the faction war, which is very annoying. My vote is to nix those extra Ophidian spawns if possible.

    Rations have dropped since they were introduced on Ophidians during the Ricardo event; that's a carry over that was never turned off for some reason.

    Would be nice to have a neutral healer area/tent since everything in the Bane camp disappears when they lose. Although, when Sampires die, it sure gives every other class a chance, doesn't it? lol.

    nah, no healers pls, leave it as it is

    its a war between 2 races where players are involved on both sides.

    if you die you shouldnt come back within 10 seconds, so one side has a better chance to win.

    if you need healers bring your friends, guildies whatever

    we hadnt healers at destroying maginica ....and it worked too (players builded a red cross station)

    Storywise, they had mentioned there was still a rogue ophidian queen out there leading a faction of rogue ophidians. It could be this was their explanation for these non-red ophidians who attack all interlopers.

    The dock in Magincia had healers placed (by the Dev Team) specifically behind the cannons there to res downed players.

    It would make sense for both armies (sorry, calling them factions just confuses people) to have a healer stationed in their base camps. If they had say a 10-15 min cool down on them, people would have to rely on eachother.

    Devs please don't place any healers, let some willing players like myself take on the task ourselves.

    It'd be cool to get loyalty points for resurrecting and healing members of your own side.

    If you could be on every server 24/7 id agree.

    Problem is when no one else is around.If your doing good progressing your side, the more you advance the further you have to run to your base to reserect anyway. Thus giving the oter side more time to kill and vicer versa.

    There was a spawn of Ophidians near the building that should be turned off, they weren't being spawned the regular way so they may not automatically despawn. If they attack you and you kill them, they won't come back. If you are on the Ophidian team and get attacked by one of these renegades, just put it to the sword.

    As for healers, I need to think about it. I could add an ophidian healer and a bane chosen healer in their respective camps, but I like the idea that players on the same 'team' would help each other and work together. Perhaps I'm seeing the world through rose colored classes? Being that this is a live event in a pretty small area, I am confident that the event will rarely be empty.

    I would also need to get permission to make the change, Cal gets kind of funny about me making changes only days before the event goes live... as you might imagine. I have been directed that I am to only make changes to fix bugs.

    Drop an albino swampy in the mix with a huge red + on the side being ridden by a Juka Healer...cost per rez 10,000gp

    Please don't.

    I say this with all good intentions for a massively multiplayer game. Do not add healers there. If people can't be kind enough to help each other out -- and in my experience, they do -- then it's a sad testament to the state of online community in general.

    I believe we'll be just fine healing each other, and I suspect you are correct: the area will not be empty for most hours of the day.

    On LS i went and scoped out the area and to mark a few runes. I did so in the Lair dying twice, and was able to get to Papua easily to get rezzed and back on my feet, to my body before it poofed.

    Running to get healed is fine. Takes you out of the game for just a bit. Which in reality of you got hurt, you need a bit of recoup time anyways!

    Please no healers and there really should be either ....

    A. Plenty of people around to rez people on their own team.

    B. Run to Papua to get healed and have a rune back to a safe spot in the dessert.

    That clears the healer issue up :)

    I wasnt initially aware you could mark there untill someone told me the other day! As you have to do the recdu/recsu thing to get in i thought it was like Ilsh :D

    you shouldn't be dying in the first place - it's not like you're fighting an army of slashers - it's like ettin hunting ... boring and stupid and just there for the 2% sleeves

    I imagined this would be more like a tug of war with other players who fight for the other side. Am I mistaken in this thought?

    Would make for awsome screen shots and.... and... If you can kill him you get a chance at the rare "White" dragon dropping into your pack just like a proxy dragon (or on corpse) :)

    Yeah now were talking some fun with real worthy rewards ;)

    But hes gota be 100 times harder to kill than anything else in game and only spawn in one place (so he pings back to stop people leading him off) I'D definatly work the spawn to get loyalty and when there is enough people there work together to get a chance at a pure white swamp dragon with a big red cross on his side.

    And on the plus side he resses at 10k a time (x2 of dooms)

    I agree with the not dying part, but not the difficulty comparison. Or at least, on Origin, I see mostly Sampires -- whom have bitten off more than they can chew -- die. And they never say thank you after I rez them. Some necro mage wraithers die as well. They say thank you. Must be a mage thing. And as always, if a tamer dies in the forest...

    However, a group of ophidian justicars and shamans and apprentice mages, backed by healers, well, that's fairly more powerful than ... ettins.

    The only two things in this game that should guarantee kill you in a solo match if not suited right are the Stygian and Tormented Minotaurs. However, the Stygian is solo'd. Not sure on Minotaurs. They are the only thing that scares me in UO. Should I say, they torment me.
