Hail: This will be my last post here, .......hehe to those of you saying, "Thank God for that".....hehehe

EA Said SA will come out next year. It will either be a CD in the store, or a download. It most likely will require an Acct. Upgrade. So, learning from the past, T2A, Malas, and so on, this is what will happen.

Some will pre order, and get it first. Some will pre order and get it a week later. So, pre order, and also reserve a copy from the store, just in case. Next, be ready to spend 5-12 hours trying to get to the edit acct page, and maybe the same ammount of time trying to actually log into the game. hehehe

So, You are all set up, logged in, and no one is in sight anywhere? You run over to the carpenter shop to buy a house placement tool, and they are ALL sold out. WT......? This is because everyone is doing the exact same thing they did when Malas was created, Going to the new land to place the best house in the best spot they can. So be ready. Already have a placement tool, mount, the required gold, and so on.

Try to get into any part of the Beta Possible. This is a huge advantage over anyone who did not. YOU Know where everything is at, and they have no clue. Bring runes with you, so you can mark and recall around more easily.

EA Said a gargoyle has to be created, and not changed from a human or elf. This could change, but don't count on it. Get soulstones. Strip 1 charater and transfer his skills to the stones. This become the guy to delete to make a Gargoyle.

Start gathering resources for the new skills. Have your vender deed, and your items to sell ready to go, in case you get a good spot for a house in GargoyleVille. I assume this will be the name of the town??????

No matter how EA releases SA, it will be a mad rush to get in. Once you get in, logging out will be the last thing you want to do. Running around getting stuff is next to that. So be ready from the get go. You just might get lucky, and end up with a huge house, in the new part of the game.

Wow, I sure did mention housing a lot. Not everyone plays just for a house, or wants a house in a area just because it is new......Do They? Of course not......When Malas was created i saw Hundreds of players killing Hoppers, and Vampire Bats, and chopping tree's, and all kind of stuff.........'NOT'

Good Luck to all of you. Merry Xmas, happy new year, and so on. I still check private messages, and e mail. And lastly, "COME DUEL MY MAIN" hehehe, I always wanted to say that.....:gun:

well at least you live in Vegas you can go outside without suiting up like you are in the 10th mountain division

playing UO is a very easy choice this time of year. I also hate the mad rush when an expansion comes out, and if the weather's nice, forget it.

So there will be a mad rush to get a house there just like Malas...
Sorry, but that made me chuckle thinking of how desolate Malas is nowadays (apart from Luna). :D

A mad rush usually involves a large number of people, objectively speaking.

So there cannot be a mad rush in Ultima Online.. ;P

Unless we're counting the guys down in one of those Sweat-Shops, that will later sell their Dirt Lots and Castles and whatnot for crazy prices.
For the game's sake EA should not allow housing in SA.. But hey, when DID they act with the game's sake in mind?..

  6. As a matter of fact I read multiple dev comments saying SA will NOT add housing (Really is no need when you can find multiple 18 x 18 spots in Malas after all - just not near Luna). Added housing was needed with UO:R, and Luna is every shard's market place, but Malas is a desolate wasteland these days, and you can find everything except Castle and Keep pots in Trammel, Felucca, and Malas. I don't know about Tokuno, but it is a dangerous enough land why would you WANT a house there?

The OP is most likely correct, but instead of housing it will be people rolling Gargoyles and exploring the new area to make guides. Funny, every game goes through that with a new expansion.

  7. I still say they should add erosion let the empty lands decay XXX number of tiles every XXX number of days untill each shards land mass equals it population

Zento would be a second marketplace if there were enough people playing the game to fill up Luna.

I've yet to find a single reason to buy SA at all. Oh, sure, I'll upgrade just for the heck of, just like I did with Tokuno, Malas, etc, but as for rushing into things, why bother? The game is more fun when you take your time, though, again, I'm not sure SA is about to make UO any more fun for me no matter how I enter it.
