any one else not geeting nuffin from the fire painting?
It takes a week for it to start
"Not getting nothing" is a double negative, it means you are getting something....silly rabbit, grammar isn't just for humans!
only word I could tink ob
Of course you probably meant... Good grammar isn't just for humans.
Possibly, but not necessarily - who are you to say what I meant? Get out of my head witch!
(And FYI, wasn't really picking on Whiterabbit...we used to be in an elf guild together on Catskills, so just a little friendly jab).
yerg herz mees friend
Ah, I get the drift. What is good grammar for one group of beings is not necessarily good for another. Hence, you dropped the qualifier "good" or "bad" from the noun, Grammar. Being a Gargoyle myself, it was interesting to me that a double negative is not good in both the elven grammar and the human grammar.
To answer your original question since the English Professors have finished their lesson, mine seems to have stopped producing also....by chance did you take it down and put it up?
I have never received a scroll from my painting. Did you get some scrolls before it stopped?
Takes forever and once you get it of course it's just a .1.... so it's like hohum...
its look seeds like yoos no knows goblin grammer. laufs
.1 better din poke ina eye wif sharp stick
.1 a week does less for my skills than just logging in daily for the GGS gain. FYI. I get 7X more gains that way than I do waiting a week to get a .1 in some random skill I'll probably not ever use and binding up to get enough .1's for anything useful is painfully slow.
I still say a .5 would have been more worth the wait.
yooos wood rather habe a poke ina eye wif sharp stick?
Actually the .1 feels a lot like a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Or like a bag of flaming dog duddy left on my doorstep instead of a nice Maybasket.
next to geeting nuffin ....
after setting up my first fire painting, and waiting the week i got ......
HAHAHAHA ~ feels more like a dull stick ina eye.
I got them until I moved it to another house..since then nothing.
Not like you are missing anything by not getting them... wouldn't worry about it probably save yourself a lot of grief and lockdowns.
Shorter wait to take a stealth mage to champ spawn. Drop two EV and creep around waiting for drops. Get real brave and drop a few EQs to speed up the drops. The .1s are to maybe get you to feel like you got your money's worth.
Complete boot to the head if you ask me.
If you look at treasure chest loot, sos, mob loot, and items like this fire painting, it makes you feel like the developers really do not have a handle on the relative value of the rewards. I mean, has anyone sorted through any loot lately? I guess that there is some value for the beginning player, but realistically, what percentage of the player base is that serving? For gosh sakes, if you get a .1 increase in a skill you need daily just by logging in, what value if any is there to getting a random drop from this painting in a week's time? You could wait a year before getting a .1 increase in the skill you are training. I just wonder if Harpsichord rolls will be still dropping 5 years from now?
If the fire painting were to suddenly let out a huge roar, and spit out a multicolored flame across the room, depositing a smoking sot with a random value between .1 and 2 when you least expect it, then we would be talking business.
There was a burst of interest in the SOS and Tmap rugs. Then the full monty of what refinements was all about hit. If they had been purely random with a chance of bad happening like brittle tag and the durability main halfed. Also could be used on any armor and then we might have something. Best we can hope for is a change where they can be smashed behind a dragon to light their farts on fire. A use for the crappy refinements that is good for bank sitting humor.
