Free Gametime? Think again...

    To all of you who were promised free game time as a result of any problems you encountered with the account migration fiasco. You may want to confirm that you are getting what was promised...

    I just got off the phone with a CSR who kindly informed me that regardless of what the previous CSR had promised, my free game time would not be happening. At the time of my original problem, the UO Game Codes store was down so the first CSR told me to call back once it was up and running and he would make sure to give me something for my time.

    Now that I have a spare moment and the store is up and running I have called back... only to be told that they cannot deliver on their original promise because there is no mention that the first CSR had tried to give me some free game time but there was a problem. I mentioned that they could look back to see that when the incident ticket was issued, the store was off-line and that was why there was "no problem".

    And while I completely recognize that this is a minor issue, it is the principle of the matter. One person promises and the other says no? What kind of customer service is that? The issue has now been upgraded to someone who will look into it and get back to me. :thumbdown:

    Anyhow... apart from my mini :rant2:... Anyone in a similar position may want to ensure that they either get it in writing (a little better) or that they check to make sure Bioware/ Mythic is following through with their promise to you.

    Sorry to hear that but I already got my free 6 month and have already key in the code. I check with my guildmates most already key in the code also.

    I wish I had trouble with the account migration site so I could get 6 months free also :/

    lol never asked for free gametime or had problems but got cs gtc for awhile and that changed to account paid when it ran out set date to set date no charges to credit card also i had closed billing to that account!!!!!!
    LOL!!!!! love free to play uo!!!!!!!!

    ps cant add billing if account is active lol so i cant even pay if wish to!!!!

    I got promised 6 months game time during one of my eight calls to EA CS and never got it.

    They did bill the third account I'd removed billing info from with the old system as well for one month. It's now closed apparently and is due to run out this coming week. I will see if it's still active after that.

    I'm now using a pre-pay CC to buy gametime cards. First one yesterday to keep the account that should have gotten the promised six month gametime open.

    The call was placed for an issue of early billing as well as the outstanding unresolved issue. Apparently though, you missed the point of Customer Service not following through with their promise. Since there may be some subtleties you may have not grasped (after having seen your sig) the issue was the failure to follow through with their original commitment of free game time. I thought it important enough to post about since a number of fellow players had commented on how they had also been given/ promised things from EA Customer Service and I didn't want something similar to happen to them.

    Nonetheless, thanks for your contribution to this thread.

    Its not any different to anti-cheating, pvp factions revamp, arenas, amazing graphics revamp, classic shard carrot, 100mb client, new player area and quests horsepucky promises.

    Just be thankful that you can still play the game.

    I was given free time I DIDN'T WANT (6 & 2 weeks respectively), and it's screwed up my carefully planned billing pattern. (1 6-month charge in April/May/June & Oct/Nov/Dec is now 3 payments within 15 days of each other, starting in late Nov).

    Dont feel bad Basara. I have tried all the ways to get my accounts back on my set up and now am oagain dealing with tier 3 after my son called EA. He got the Biling at EA to listen who sent him to Mythic billing. Nice lady there understood and put the whole thing as she understood the problem to tier 3. I have my doubts but hope this will finally be resolved... I too was offered free time once this problem was solved. I'll settle for normal billing and access to all my accounts with out so many hoops to jump through.
