Hi, I have just gained perfection but my luck does not appear to have changed, Ive read you get up to 1000 extra luck after achieveing perfection but i dont appear to have any luck games in paperdoll or on loot from creatures. Anyone know if you have to do anything to activate luck after reaching perfection?

  2. The luck bonus does not show up on your gump. The gump only shows the luck from items and not from Perfection. The bonus is automatic as you gain each level of Perfection.

Additionally it works in a step method sort of system, so you can gain steps per hit or lose steps on a miss:

Any time a Samurai with 50 or more Bushido skill fights an Honored foe, and lands a hit, he gains in Perfection. Perfection gives a damage increase that raises with each step he gains. The number of steps you can gain in perfection is approximately 10, where you will receive the message "You have achieved perfection". At 100 Bushido, each step of Perfection grants a 10% damage increase to your normal attack, thus if you achieve Perfection, you are in fact receiving a 100% damage increase to your attacks (300% damage increase cap applies). Also at 100 Bushido, Perfection grants 100 Luck per level achieved. For a Samurai of 50 skill, each step is a 5% damage bonus and a 50 luck bonus to the target he honored, with a Samurai in training receiving a 1% damage increase and 10 Luck increase to each level of Perfection per 10 full skill points gained, up to 100 Bushido. A missed hit results in a loss of 3 levels of Perfection. At the defeat of your opponent, you also gain back some health, stamina, and mana based on the final level of Perfection you have achieved.

Does Perfection wear off after time? Or does a high Perfection level remain for an unlimited amount of time, until you are missing a blow?

Perfection does not wear off as long as the monster is alive and you haven't honored anything else. As an example, I was fighting a paragon titan one day and died after I achieved perfection. I ressed myself, got distracted by the pretty flowers, and came back after about an hour or more to get my revenge. Since I had not honored anything else in that time and nobody killed the titan, I still had perfection against that opponent.

Good point with what Farsight said. I have had where I fight a bunch of monsters as once. As long as nothing else is honored other than the monster you were fighting and nobody else touches it, I can keep gaining perfection on it or lose perfection on it if I miss.

I'm not sure the implications of what happens when someone else attacks the monster you were fighting, except you wouldn't gain in perfection...I believe.

In being more specific though, as long as you keep hitting and making contact on say a strong paragon and don't miss, you will gain in steps up till 10 or so. After that it just stays constant till the mob is dead, unless you miss at any one point.

That I can answer: You gain perfection with each successful hit, no matter how many other players are bashing that monster. Important thing is, that the monster must not be harmed when you honor it.

    Thanks for the answer, Farsight!
