Gargoyle Remount/Dismount macro

    I can't seem to find an option that i can make a macro to remount/dismount a gargoyle, is it possible?

    should be able to make a toggle macro in uoassist for it the same way you do for normal animal mounts.

    OK, I'll ask the stupid question...

    Since gargoyles can't ride pets, why is the macro needed?

    Unless you ever need to remount someone you are fighting, a remount/dismount macro still seems of limited use ... can see a use in PvP for a 'dismount target' when using a suitable weapon, to either knock someone off a mount or stop a garg flying, but remount?

    I'm assuming a remount/dismount macro is for your character to get on or off a mount, not to stop someone else riding, since that's just plain 'dismount', nothing 're' about it :confused:

    There's a macro in the list of UO macros not UOA. You can't do it with UOA :(.

    I dismount people all the time by toggling 'infused throw' with cyclone while flying up to them and then hitting fly/unfly macro to "dismount" an opponent.. it works quite well actually.

    Once again its for pvp. Click a key to fly or land is better than Dclicking with your mouse its simple as that. Other than that there are many advantages doing so but I am to lazy to explain.

    So really it's the toggle between flying and non-flying mode, and nothing to do with a mount at all...?

    exactly, but people still associate "fly/unfly" with "remount/dismounting"...
    it toggles you between fly mode and walk mode.. the gargoyle's equivalent of being mounted and unmounted.
    one advantage to this is you'll have one key to toggle fly mode as opposed to 2 UOAssist macros for remounting and unmounting..
    plus if you're a thrower you can hit this key to get off a quick dismount on someone using the cyclone's "infused throw" specialmove.

    Only thing that sux about gargoyle flying is that you can't exactly bola dodge or dodge an archery dismount like a human riding a living mount can :(. I wish gargoyles had living mount choices, oh and I wish the HLD glasses worked for them also (I hear that's being taken care of though :D).

    Eh, I don't believe that. Each race has its own benefits for different playing styles.

    Having a live mount AND flying? It kicks ass. Do you know flying is much much faster to initiate than mounting an ethy?

    Yes I know that, but it can be interrupted unlike mounting a living mount. That IMO is a much more reliable feature.

    in the EC you can make a pretty decent human/elf dismount and dismount shot macro.

    but the garg one is more tricky. the 'dismount' macro feature does not make the gargoyle stop flying in the way that a human would stop riding their horse.

    so you are left with the fly/no fly toggle. which wouldnt work out, if as a gargoyle you were already on foot and tried to use your dismount macro on someone to dismount them the macro toggles your fly/no fly setting and you end up flying and cant dismount them.

    the 'dismount' macro button needs to be modified so that gargoyles stop flying. that would be the fix
