I find Gargoyles' new and updated Racial Traits somewhat unfair(mostly the 50 HCI cap) and cannot really compare them to the major incentives to play the two races; 20 Mana as the main motive to play Elf(I am 100% positive that now with imbuing you can have the total amount of mana your play-style needs WITHOUT being one), slight MR/SR for Humans. But do read on before you reply.. I do know about Elves also having increased chances to find rare materials(on the other hand, Gargoyles are the best imbuers) and about Humans' carry weight.. But then again Gargoyles ALSO get 2 Mana Regeneration either way, not to mention the DI when you're low on health, and the ability to cast Mystic spells as if they had 30 Mysticism(if I understand that correctly it's like the Humans' JOAT). On top of that, Permanent Night Sight, passive Detection?.. There are potions, spells and ear-rings for the first(and in fact you can work around Detection by casting AOE and using Conflag) and there are SKILLS that could be made USEFULL instead of having it as a Racial Trait(referring to actual Detecting Hidden which a lot of Detectives out there would like to see getting a major over-haul). And Gargoyles' short-coming is.. Equipment? Doubt it after what the last patch changed. I believe I've got a couple of good points here so I suggest giving the two older races two new Traits each even if it would mean replacing current ones. Those could be some of the following and don't necessarily need to be much more than the Gargoyles' 5% bonus but I do think they will make the three Races more equal : - DCI cap 50% - HP cap increase - DEX cap increase - Innate SSI - DI cap increase - Innate DI - Innate SDI - Innate LMC - LMC cap increase - Innate Stamina Regeneration - Innate Health Regeneration - SDI cap increase My personal favourites are in Bold. What are your thoughts and suggestions?
