Getting money across sides

I have a reasonable amount of cash on my level 47 Tauren Warrior on one server, and I'd like to send a little over to my alliance character on a different server.

Sending it via mail is apparently not allowed.

Is there any way round it? I'm assuming it's not an "exploit" of some sort, because surely I should be able to do whatever I want with my money on my account's characters?

Neutral AH, but you'll take a hit on the cash since the AH will take a portion.

Put a silly crappy item on the AH for an insane amount of gold and then buy it on your other character.

However, you're not going to be able to do that between 2 different servers.

Could I make an alliance character on the server my Horde character is, and then transfer from that to my alliance char by mail on the other server?

Which are the neutral auction houses?

You can't transfer money from server to server. Period.

I mean, you kind of could if you did the whole paid character transfer thing. But that's gonna cost you $25 to do.

The neutral auction houses are in Booty Bay, Gadzetzan, and Winterspring.

  7. what most people do is go to a neutral town (Booty Bay, Gadgetzan, Winterspring, Ratchet), take both their alliance and horde char there and log out there in the inn....put up some junk to sell for some ridiculous price (some gray junk that nobody would buy-which is the amount you'll be transferring to your other char in the other faction), then log off and back on with your alt char and buy that junk item in the neutral AH, then you log back on your other char and get your gold.

but as stated already, neutral AH tends to take a bigger cut of the fee...so be prepared for that...you won't get your full amount.

  8. I tried using the neutral AH to do this a couple of months ago and it wouldn't let me because my alliance and horde characters are on the same account..Not sure if it's changed since my last attempt, though.

I am going to have to say this is not right, unless very recently it has changed, you cannot buy an item on one faction from a character on the other faction on the same account.

The system will not let you do it.

That sucks. Honestly, if I'm paying for the account, I should have the right to do whatever I want with my characters and their belongings, regardless of what server or side they are on.

I don't suppose it ever occured to Blizzard that people wouldn't be so tempted to "break the rules" in other ways through third parties, if they made it possible to trade within your own account without restrictions.

I have often thought there should be some kind of class speak, in other words I think a Nite Elf Druid and a Tauren Druid should be able to speak Druidic to each other. Maybe not all classes but a few of them, Rogues too. Remember the old Thieves Cant in D&D?

Two things, they want more accounts, to trade between accounts, you need 2 accounts = more money for them.

Secondly, their line is solid between Horde and Alliance. No exceptions it seems.

It used to work then - wayyyy back in the day. So they must have fixed that. Honestly the last time I even tried was probably a couple months after the game came out.
