Going to try be factual not negative....... Errors to fix ASAP!!!

    Hey Guys,

    I am going to try be as factual as I can and try avoid being negative about what I have encountered, But I am gonna say I aint very happy about this latest UI, a lot more preparation should of gone into it before being released, as it will only cause people to complain about errors they will encounter....
    I know the new UI is up and working, but full of errors which I personally think its a lack of respect by the Devs, UO & Broadsword, towards US the players.
    I am sure all these errors once reported and checked will all be fixed or something hopefully will be done.
    I express that this is for the help of the DEVs and not a complaint, but just a feedback, might sound harsh but I am trying to be factual and be able to help to fix these so no one else jumps onboard to criticise.

    Here is a small list of things I immediately found when I got in....

    1. Target closest enemy is completely broke, someone please go try this on a champ spawn and see it by yourselves

    2. The chat bars, even if you make for example a custom one for just your GUILD chats, still shows what NPCs say and also if in a champ/peerless/SA dungeon mini boss, text fills the chat up with Points for the Garg queen, City fame text and others, when it should be screened/filtered to what you have selected, being Guild for example, just the Guild chats appearing, what the members say

    3. Why have movable chat bars if you got tabs??? I want to be able to see all my chats in all the groups I am in, without accidently moving the chat tab and separating the whole chat into 2... ( This really is nuisance but not a mayor problem)

    4. This dosnt affect me directly as my eye sight, thanks to god is still good, but something that PINCOs UI had that I think should be added is the extra bright backround for the older people, for it to be easier for them to see items in the backpack, not all players are in their 30s......

    5. Although I got more minor and mayor arties in 30 minutes than in 6 months playing the loot is not compensated throughout the game, Killing in the overland is pretty much same loot as going to shame level 2 or 3, So I am guessing dungeon hunting now is out the door?

    6. The default zoom is rather small, I like playing closer to the char, everything being bigger, this is just my opinion and how I like it.

    7. No option to resize the hotbars/backpack/items like in Pincos UI, for some maybe the hotbars/items may seem small.

    8. Target window, resets its place after logging out

    9. Problems with spells and primary/secondary attacks in the bars.

    Well I hope the points I have expressed can help to make the game better and keep us all safe and happy, and also wish I havnt upset anyone as I didnt intend to, just giving some feedback, for the rest I am happy and Goodluck and we hope the best.

    4. you actually can set the container back ground to a lighter color, its under the user settings/containers tab.

    7. you can resize the hot bars, backpack, paperdoll, etc. its under the actions/other/toggle scale mode button

    6 and 7 can be changed. You can adjust the zoom level for the actual game window in the settings and you can use the scale mod to resize the hotbars and backpack, paperdoll etc.

    It might be worth setting the UI scale to 1.0 as by default its set to something like 0.85.

    I would agree about that chat tabs. I liked it before when you could "extract" them and have each one showing different things.

    I had the same issue with the target window resetting like you mentioned (Jumps back to the top centre of the screen). I then made another char and it stayed where I left it. Rather strange I know!

    I would stress this point - I logged in and found everything too tiny, started moving hotbars etc to where I wanted, then discovered the resize option and suddenly everything was in the wrong place again.

    My recommended first port of call - open the main menu (Esc key in EC) go to User Settings, go to the Options tab, and scroll down to the UI scale (sliding bar about two-thirds down the list)
    Do this BEFORE you start rearranging the window to save some frustration later!

    Also to associate the mouse scroll wheel with the game window zoom, go to the Input tab where you can select the functions for 'scroll up' and 'scroll down' - even though mine were previously set to zoom in and out respectively, these were not selected when first logging in with the changes.

    I have yet to see any benefit to justify the slight nuisance; lockable hotbars etc is a good thing, but also makes it harder to find a spot on the handle suitable for dragging it. Will see how it feels after more use.

    The client mostly works. There's a few missing art tiles from the last version of the Pinco UI, and a few bugs added. Also anything which was on the Pinco UI tab, rather than be moved elsewhere, is outright missing; the Server Lines map for instance.

    Number 2 above is because there's no filter for System chat, which there was on the old one, so you can't disable it and it appears in every window. However if you're new to the EC it's still worth having a go because it adds so much. It's just for us Pinco Pals we see the little bits where it falls backwards again!
