How are you beautiful people doing?
good afternoon, and I'm fine. How about you?
Are we having a babble thread?
OMG way to be biased to just Siege!
Good morning, HaHa! I will bet you have been up all night.
Hey, why don't you start a babble thread on say...U.Hall...and open with saying that on Siege, even our babble is 'leet, compared to other shards.
Then again, babble threads aren't looked upon too kindly elsewhere...so I guess if we want to have one, here is the best place.
oooh! Europa babble thread is where I get to relax and just be 'me', is just for fun and silliness and flame free, except for teasing.
Skylark, Europa's had a babble thread as long as I've been posting. It gets locked at 1k posts and then the mods (me, now!) have to think up a title for the new one.
Good morning Skylark.
Threadzilla lasted a good while on U.Hall before the forums went belly up.
And good morning Kelmo.
Good morning, Siege! I am enjoying my first day off from school for the summer!
you forgot the "...la"
HaHa is not Rico. One trademark "la" per forum is quite enough.
No Haha is known for something completely different.
And NO Haha, you can't post any examples...........or links!
Can we do technobabble? I am experiencing rage issues this morning from fighting with a domain controller, solely due to colossal configuration blunders mainly related to drive partitioning and main application installations, made by the net admin (who I shall hereafter represent with: ) that preceded me 3 years ago. I have been having to do creative "workarounds" due to these blunders since I took over, but the biggest headache came today when I was trying to deploy a new security suite. The workaround will likely take 4 hours of my time when I should have been able to create a client deployment package in a few minutes and push out an automated deployment.
The blunders made by would have been avoided by the most CURSORY review of the documentation, which only increases my rage.
If I encountered this morning I think the meeting would go like this:
My current mood:
technobabble? Dunno Skylark. Europa board faq used to have a section that said you could post in a language not English if you also provided a translation. Would that apply?
Oh, that was HaHa? I was confused, I am just so used to seeing pointless +1 rant/whine posts coming form someone else...
Huh! What! Now I guess I have to get up! Oh, so there are beautiful people about this
forum... and the nominations are?
*grumbles as going up the stairs* "This better be good, I like my late morning dreams."
Does the term diaf mean anything to you? Just curious...la
Hail! Im getting attacked by astinax rigth now ^^
wish i wasnt at work right now i bet there soooo many bags to look in !
It does to me, and if I see anyone advising a poster to go do that I will not be amused.
Oh, I would never do that...here. I was only asking if he knew what it meant...la
That is a staple phrase on the Blizzard forums. That, along with NO U!!!!
So if I babble a bit would that be considered trolling also.
Pokes Kelmo just for the fun of it!
Some years ago, when our children were at school, my husband witnessed a road accident and stopped to try to help. One of the vehicles involved was a camper van with several young children on board.
It caught fire, no one could get near it. My husband and others who stopped to help were forced to stand helplessly by hearing those children scream as they burned to death.
He re-lived that accident nightly for months, waking sobbing in my arms.
diaf is an acronym I will never, ever use.
Why? Did someone actually tell the people in the van to do that?...la
The man does have a point...
Unfortunately its on his head.
I guess I'm just not callous enough to wish something that horrible on anyone.
We'll keep working on that......la
No, Rico. We won't. We will just enjoy each other as we are. You may attempt to stir the pot. You may think alluding to death by fire is funny in some way. I certainly do not. I do not appreciate it at all.
I'm tired worked too much this week, sleeping in on Sat am is the highlight of my week, thats sooo sad, Elmer said he doesnt care how tired I am he's taking me out tomorrow night!!! woot!!! Love it when he tells me what to do!!! rolleyes:cheerleader:
Nice try Kelmo. Somone had to come along and screw it up.
People say a lot of terrible things without seeming to give it a thought. It is astonishing.
People take teh internets way too seriously...and others need to grow a thicker skin...la
Yes, some do. *smiles*
Ya, I agree. "Die in a fire" and "go kill yourself" have to be the worst commonly used expressions I see over the internet.
Some choose to take advantage of the anonymity. The Internet is a mask. Cowards can be heroes here.
good morning again people.
I must have been tired than I realised last night, I thought I'd posted this thread before I went to bed.. I'd been fantasizing about emptying that well-stirred pot over a certain someone's head.
Here's the thing about the internet; while it offers a way for people to converse over great distance, adds the ability to craft well thought out responses, offers opportunity for a huge variety of topics, and has 24-hour world-wide access; it also gives a kind of anonymity to the writer that tempts many into having little in the way of conversational etiquette.
Because of this, some people post what seems like a fart during a thoughtful discussion taking place in the corner of a library. Sure there are places an errant fart may bring a laugh - there are many where it does not. Knowing the difference is pretty easy in person, but for some, finding that balance in the internet world seems difficult.
And some use the excuse of it being "just the Internet" way too much to flaunt behavior that would be completely unacceptable in their normal social surroundings as if there is no need to treat people with respect simply because they have no recourse if you don't. Extremes are rarely good.
Let me clarify. If you don't take everything you do the the extreme, you never learn exactly what your personal limits are.
Sorry guys, I've become highly philosophical these days. Divorce will do that
Of course, Rico will just tell me it's about time I got rid of the kooky California liberal...la
ROFL at teh internets n00b...oh wait is the term "n00b" crossing the line?...If it is...I take it back, if not...I don't...la
Says the troll who has nothing better to do with his life than post 2300 times to one forum site in a month an a half. Sad thing is, stratics probably isnt the only forum this guy wastes his life away...fu.
I believe it was just explained that trying to avoid the forum sensors was a no-no. You should probably stop doing that.
My comment about extremes is in the context of Internet socialization, in that being a sensitive thin skinned cry baby looking for ways to be hurt or offended on one extreme or a completely insensitive callous jerk on the opposite end, just because one "can" are not pleasant. However, for the record, I do think that behavioral extremes in general pose more problems than benefits to the person who "owns" them and the people around them.
Cool, let me know when you get your mod tag, then I might consider giving your useless garble a second thought. K cupcake?
Please post a link to the inference I made that I was a mod? I don't recall ever making that claim.
Have a nice day...la
