Its been almost 3 monthhs since I started this. Im not sure if its KR or just no one in EA can get this thing to change. My guild leader quit over a year ago. Theres only 7 people in the guild who play anymore...all of them my characters. We voted and nothing happened. So we un-voted and voted someone different...nothing happened...so we brought in another player...voted again..nothing. I am the only emissary that palyes...everyone else thats voting is a member. Why cant I get this to work right? Is it maybe something to do with KR? I have e-mailed uo bugs and EA 3 times....I just keep getting their surveys and links to what to do, which I have already tried. ANYONE with any suggestions would so much appreciated.

If you have a 2/3 majority (inactive characters included), you should page a Gamemaster and they will switch it manually.

It doesn't matter if chars or active or not to change the leadership.

Demote all the inactive chars you can (that is not the GM, warlords or emissaries) to ronin. If there are 7 of your chars then you need to deomote all but 3 of the rest.

Then you should be able to become GM, maybe after a delay.

Well, I have a char, which is the only remaining active member of the historical important (so leaving is no option) guild. Since he is in "member" status, he can do nothing - he cannot get new members in, which would be able to vote, he cannot vote for himself as guild leader with success, since the inactive members still count forward in the percentage count.
"If a guild member becomes inactive, their vote is no longer valid, nor are they counted towards the total number of votes when determining a majority."
Instead not counting in the total number of votes the total number of members should be reduced to the active members in counting for determining the majority.
