Is the Hell Hound firebreath attack effected at all by the pack instict?

For example with 3 you get 50% damage increase... would the firebreath get that same increase or no?

I wouldnt think so simply because isnt that calculation based on current hp??

The bonus is per pack animal. With 5 of the same pack it's 100% damage increase, 4 = 75% etc etc...

Just wasn't sure if it only effected melee attack or spells/specials as well.

The pack never loses it's % damage increase unless you have 3 on one creature, and 2 on another, then it's only 25% and 50%.

Sorry i meant the damage per firebreath, isnt that based on hp?

I believe so yes. Just wasn't sure if the firebreath dmg is effected by the pack instinct or if it's just melee based increase.

  6. As I understand it, the bonus damage from pack instinct is purely melee.

I figured as much. Hell hounds would be way overpowered if they had a dmg increase in both attacks.

Anyone know the difference in damage output between frenzieds + hell hounds. Melee wise. Trying to figure out if hounds or frenzieds would be better. With the firebreath aside, just talking about melee dmg between the two.

Dmg output on frenzied ostards is wicked. I was doing about 250-300 dmg per 1.25 second on dreadhorn with them fully trained.

Too bad the area affect spells killed them before i could keep them all vetted.

Their resists and HP are way to low to use on anything with AoE spells, even with a Sampire tanking the damage.

    Ok good to know.

Wasn't planning on using them for anything that has AoE. Until EA comes out with a group heal... that's outta the question =)
