How exactly do you get honor on a tamer? Unless you're a melee tamer. Doesn't honor require you to not use pets and stand in close combat?

Think of the "honor rules" as ideals rather than requirements. A tamer can still gain honor, they just gain it slower than someone who is able to follow every rule.

If you search this forum you'll find plenty of advice about raising honor with a tamer.

You gain about half the rate as a melee char since your using pets. Also you will gain even slower if you use a rune beetle due to the poisoning.

Tamers can get honor just fine. Take a trained Cu to the dojo and kill succubus. Or to the demon temple in ilsh next to spirituality gate. Will take a couple hours a day for a few days but you'll max out.

In the EC I made an honor kill set of macros:

    (F1) Target Next Enemy macro:
    -Target Next Enemy

    (F2) Honor All Kill macro:
Honor, Wait for Target, Target Current, All Stop, All Follow Me, All Kill

I'll just F1 to toggle through targets then F2 to kill. Works everywhere. Spawns, farming honor at Succubus, you name it

It's very quick, and I get to keep my honor topped off this way too.

By the way why isn't Tamer Honoring info in a sticky? We see this question get asked incredibly often, and there's not good info in a sticky that I've seen.

JD, take a wee look at the stickies and you'll see that honor info will be included as part of the new FAQ. In the meantime we have forum search.
