How hard would it be to move the Solen Hives from Fel Dungeon Server rules to Tram?

:twak: Just wondering as I am out gathering my 25 seeds to fill my Garden Beds and noticing it is taking about 5 minutes each seed. :eyes: That is over 2 hours of game play just to gather 25 seeds that have no bearing but decoration or dyes?

My Christmas wish for the day.:violin:

:flame:go ahead i got my special suit on.

I am not familiar with seed-gathering in the slightest so it might be that you are gathering some Fel-only seed I wouldn't know about.

But I can tell you that there are Solen dungeons in both facets. Red in one, black in the other, and in theory the "infiltrators" that spawn overland are from one facet's Solens "infiltrating" the Solens of the other facets.

I've outlined elsewhere the many things that are only in Fel, but Solen content is, to my knowledge, not among them.

yes I konw that but the dungeons on both tram and fel have no recall rules applied to them you cannot mark runes in them and recall in like you can in other tram dungeons. Small problem but make it much more time consuming.

Coming from the guy who always states that bards should just suck it up even though the game mechanics totally prevents them from using their main skills during EM events and the new Exodus battle. You are always filled with advice so...

How about this... WALK and go collect your seeds!!!

If you are talking about the special hued seeds from the naturalist quest, that is why they are called "rare seeds" because they are much harder and more time consuming to get. Otherwise they would be "common seeds" like the kind you get of boglings. And if they supposedly have no bearing, then why ya so interested in them? ;)

Ok, so what you really want are just recall abilities in the dungeon, not so much moving them to the tram facet, yes? Doesn't seem unreasonable but I don't recall the dungeon being too complicated to navigate. Is a marked rune to just outside the solen hive not enough?

imo any place there is any resource you should have to walk through a dungeon area to get to it, and walk out when you are full. Would stop a lot of the scripting.. but will never happen *shrugs*

The tram hive isn't actually under fel rules - you can recall out of it.

The Solen Hives had had these rules since they were introduced many years ago.

It has nothing to do with Trammel and Felucca. It is a long-standing tactic on these boards to attribute to the Fel/Tram split things that have nothing to do with it. It's a troll attempt at best to do so, but it sure is effective.

There is really little reason to change, the dungeons are small and adding the capacity to recall to particular spots simply wouldn't change all that much. Next it will be to remove the annoying "a ha!" noises and the brief delay while your character ostensibly scribbles down his notes. That also adds to the quest time.

The change that would have the most merit would be to fold this stuff, as well as the Victoria quest and the Hag quest, into the main quest engine. But somehow I think that's not that easy.

Soo according to Galen I am trolling calling it fel, since you cannot recal in and Pawain calls me lazy.

:twak: Well here's you response you can both KMLWHA.

Adding the ability to recall to the hive would cut down on the time IMMENSLY.:scholar:

:coco: And i walk about every two weeks to gather 25 seeds.

PHFFT i get reported for miss-spelling something and you guys are just 875*&%*&^.

The solen holes are located on the tram or fel dungeon subservers depending on facet along with the Jail and green acres that you can see off the side as you enter the Minoc Solen hole.

Who's riding on you for misspelling?

Anyhow, just recall out and walk in. I can't imagine that the ability to recall into the hive would really make such a tremendous difference.

Viper, the miss spelling was something totally different, I got reported for a personal attack. And if I could recall in to the Hive It would cut the time down to just the Time it takes for the notes and recalling not the walk and dropping thru hole, I figure about 2 minutes per run not 5, so less than 1/2 the time.

That was all i was looking at. Call me lazy or whatever but since the seeds are only useful for dye and decorations I do no see why it is such a time consuming quest.

This is in the Tram Solen Hive they have a no recall in zone, no idea why.

It has been such a long time since I did any plants. Unless my memory is mistaken, can't you just take those seeds and grow your own plants to produce the seeds you need? It would take a little time but after a while you could have more seeds then you'll need.

the plants these seeds produce do not spawn any new seeds.

That being said, although annoying, I do not have any more issue with the solen hive "no recall in" rule than a lot of other places with this rule

I do understand what the OP is requesting. Back when the hives first went in the asian and oceania shards were different, we could mark runes in and recall around. It was a good thing, and we didnt abuse it. But I could see at that time where someone might. See the mind set on these shards is abit different then the usa ones. Its a culture thing. Now that I think of it I would vote to remove the restriction for recall as the hives would be better used if this was gone. So Perhaps If your all good Mesanna might think it our way.

My word if he hates doing the quest on regular shards he's gonna HATE doing it on Siege, I did a few runs last week, takes WAY longer. Didn't help that I can't gate around and had to figure out which holes to fling myself down for different areas lol.

Well you also have two other things to do down there, bos quest and translocation powder quest. Both of them would be extremely easy and quick to do with mark and recall into the hives.
