In the knowledge that some will understand the story:
"A man went on a journey to a foreign land.

There he saw a huge table with a bowl in the center. Around the table were little spoons with six foot handles to reach the bowl attached to the table's center. Everywhere he looked he saw well fed and happy people. At sunset everyone gathered around the table and the bowl miraculously filled with soup. Each person picked up the spoon next to them, dipped it into the bowl and fed it to the person across from them.

The same man journeyed to another land and discovered a similar table. In this land, everyone was greedy and starving. their faces covered in sores. At sunset everyone ran to the table and grabbed a spoon. Trying to feed themselves with the long handled spoons, all the soup was spilled and no one was able to feed themselves."

The first land is known as Legends Shard

  2. And in Sonoma, Lord Drakelord keeps washing his socks in our soup bowl.

Ah, but doesn't that make it all the more fun to feed it to your ex wife sitting across from you :thumbup1:

In the rest of the UOverse. Somebody steals the spoons and sells them off for 80 mil each to folks that will charge you 500k/mouthfull. Then someone dupes the spoons and sells them for $100 rl. Next replica spoons are introduced to anyone that can chop 500k boards. After evryone gets a spoon they run to the table at dinner time to see someone has swiped the bowl.

  5. and dammit, I saw some chucklehead over in Luna selling 500 spoons. Come on, how do you get that many, unless you are duping.

And devs, you may want to know that on Sonoma we have Lobster Bisque Elegante and not the Yankee Pot Roast nor the Mulligan Soup like what was posted in the Test Center.

And would it be TOO MUCH to ask for some oyster crackers???

On another shard, the bowl sits in the center of the table completely full......? In this land everyone uses their Spoon to Attack everyone else with. Now, since the spoon was rounded at the end, it did not cause much actual dammage, but just hurt a lot. Then one day a Spoon PK Guy had his spoon break off at the end,........leaving a sharp pointy edge...........and thus, "A Spoon of Soup Vanquishing" was born.......

On Napa we do not require a bowl to fill itself up with soup. Nor do we feed others with a long handled spoon. Nor are we that stupid to eat with a spoon with a handle too long to feed ourselves.

On Napa we go out get our own food, eat it ourselves and share it with anyone who wants some.

On Napa we do not need a magic bowl in the middle of the table to feed us. We are self sufficient.

You say that like it's a bad thing...

No, not true, I don't mean that like a bad thing at all. Lotta good folks on Napa, some of them even come visit us on Legends while their husbands are working. Just to keep it in theme, alotta the folks on Napa are pretty "knife", and when they get tired of "spooning the soup" sometimes they come to Legends and enjoy a "fork":grouphug:
Let's not take ourselves too seriously; old, young, wise and foolish, we all share the same fate in the end. If we can share some kindness and happiness before then, many count that a bonus. Some times there's so many complaints on this forum. Be nice if some of us can share something other than on the front page for a day, maybe a few.

    ...

Who pays for the soup? Who bought such inefficient spoons? How will the soup be taxed next year?

Wouldn't we all rather have a steak?

    In America...

    We have two individuals...

One guy is taking soup from 5% of Americans and giving it to the other 95% of Americans (even though 38% of them dont eat soup).

While the other guy is serving soup that is 8 years old.

Regardless of what flavor soup you like, make sure you take some time away from UO tomorrow to "rock the soup."

I get it Mal...so very true and simple. When everyone works together anything is both more rewarding and easier.
Some responses though were very funny!
Some were a little on the rude side.

  20. You forgot one land.

Corporate land where they stick their face in the bowl and suck it dry. Anything that falls to the side is considered their grace and looked at as the trickle down effect.

The silly lambs are greatful and lick the table, blindly thanking them.

On Siege, so they tell you, it takes 6 months to gain enough skill to use a spoon in the first place. Then their bowl only fills up to a third full, and their spoons only hold a third of a normal spoon, and their digestive systems take 3 times longer to digest the food leaving them all constipated, which kinda explains Siege really.

On Baja, someone found the soup, called their 2 friends over who then called their 2 friends over, who then called their 2 friends over. While someone was trying to figure out how to use the spoon, the sun started to set, margaritas were blended, The Traveling Minstral Band music was fired up and we all started to jam on the beach.
