So we have two flavors. Chocolate and Vanilla. Some people like chocolate. Some people like vanilla. It's not enough to like chocolate or vanilla around here. If I like chocolate, and you like vanilla, you're an idiot for liking vanilla. If you like vanilla, and I like chocolate, then you are sure I hate vanilla with every fiber of my being and hate you like poison because you like vanilla. When a discussion starts about lime sherbert, I'm gonna steer the conversation back to chocolate. Heaven forbid that both chocolate and vanilla be available, and you can choose either one, because you and I are gonna still argue the merits of our favorite flavors and the shortcomings of yours. I guess that's just the nature of message boards. I guess one can argue that we all have to eat the same ice cream, though. To that, I'd say: We are all Ultima Online players. We do at least have that common ground at the end of the day. If you totally disagree with what I have to say, that's perfectly fine. Debating the point is why we have the Reply button. But being a dickwad just because you think I'm wrong (and I may very well be) is really not needed. And it sure doesn't make you more persuasive. Just because someone says something doesn't make it true, no matter how many people seemingly agree with him. If I don't agree with you, that doesn't make you stupid, homely, unloveable or evil. It just means we don't agree. That's fine. If you agree with me on every possible issue, you are my clone. And talking to a clone would get boring in a hurry. We had an old saying in the arcade about Street Fighter 2 characters (to date myself).... "If a particular fighter sucks, chances are good you're not playing him to properly take advantage of his/her strengths." If Ninjitsu just sucks because you dont find it useful, it's safer to adopt the mindset you just haven't figured out how to make it enjoyable for you. Trolls win when you don't ignore them. No matter what is said, that's the final score. If you don't bite, you won't be pulled out of the lake.
