Idea: Imbuing "0" luck = getting rid of -100 luck property

    How about using one of the unused SA ingredients for imbuing a "zero" luck property onto an item, to get rid of the -100 Luck property currently on Shame/Covetous dungeon loot?

    Since it will be adding +100 luck, retain the use of 10 chaga mushrooms/10 citrines/5 magical residue, but (for example) add in the addition of 5 relic fragments/10 diamonds/10 essence of persistence.

    Or any other of the unused SA imbuing igredients that currently dont have a use.

    I still think the Fey Wings should give Fey Slayer, and there are a few others off the top of my head that I dont remember. I hope this issue of unused SA imbuing ingredients will be addressed soon.

    It is not the -100 Luck that hurts. The fact that it takes up a mod slot like lower str req. and higher durability. Got that skeleton dragon champ that has globs with no use yet. Give it the ability to remove any those three.

    The loot needs to be nerfed back. With reforge and the enhancing tool be hard pressed to get anything that compares with the choice mods neg free. Brittle, CNR and cursed shows enough on any uber loot to make it rough to get better loot drops then crafter can make. Even nightsight should be able to rotate it out with luck like slayer overwrites another slayer.

    Why don't we just make everyone have all 70s, 100 LRC, 40 LMC, 45 HCI, 45 DCI, 100 Reflect, 12 MR, 12 SR, 12 HPR, 48 Stam Inc, 48 Mana Inc, 30 HP Inc and 100% DI as base mods while we are at it?!

    Take the negative with the good. Sheesh.

    Here's what I think on the matter.

    There should be a way to remove ONE negative property from an item. Just ONE.

    Essentially, removing the negative property acts as an alteration that adds an additional title to it, to signify such an alteration can't be done again.

    I would have it as a subset of reforging, as follows:
    • Requires runic, or a tool that allows tinker reforging (something that the devs have talked about internally, but not yet gave any ETA)
    • Can ONLY be used on Jewelry and Loot, NOT items that were initially created with reforging.
    • Process would remove ONE of the properties from the following list if present, at RANDOM: Cursed, -100 Luck, Cannot Be Repaired, Brittle (possibly, splintering weapon and lower requirements as well).
    • Process would also increase the imbuing cap of the item to 500, from 450, for looted weapons and armor.
    • Once this is done once, it cannot be done again for that item.
    Alternatively, the Whetstone for DI removal could be made into a high-end LBOD reward, and other Whetstones for specific property removal be added as well (perhaps being craftable as well, with some of the unused SA ingredients and less-used ML ones). These would fall under the same subset of use restrictions as in the bullet points, above, but being non-random, and allowing the use of the Whetstone of Enervation in addition to one of the "bad property" removers.

    I suggest the whetstone to remove the "durability %" mod on armor , and keep the DI removal for weapons. But i get your point of wanting to convert the -luck into 0 luck ( no mod ) so you can add another mod to your piece , well I dont know what to say its a good idea for those jewels with 10 ssi and -luck or 35 % enhance pot and -luck , etc

    I would like to see a boss encounter drop similar to the whetstones to remove properties... They could be property specific and scale in rarity from -luck removal to cursed removal. Personally I would add this too all of the peerless encounters when they get revamped.

    Curse removal would be too strong imho. Curse give too much item budget to be removed at the end

    I don't think it is soley a function of being cursed... For example I got a minor magic item (ring) yesterday that had 90 luck and 5 ssi and it was cursed.

    Hpi is capped at 25 why would I want the extra I'd rather some SDI

    If a remove curse makes into the game, then ALL artifacts and reforged armor become useless trust me.

    What I wouldn't give to remove "Cursed" from oh so many things.

    I honestly don't care if something has -100 luck... Luck never worked to begin with.

    Anyway I like the idea of removing a property... any property. How many times I see some item and go ..... Oh! That would be a great item! Too bad it has X.... otherwise it'd be useful.

    It all depends on how rare of a drop remove curse drop would be.... Something along the lines of slither drop rate would mean it would take a very long time for everyone's suit to get replaced by looted gear with the curse removed.

    I understand your point, but as it is all that really nice new loot just turns into relic frags.

    Well yea if only the removal curse would have the same drop chance of a slither drop I would be down for it. How many times ive seen ubber items with only the ''cursed'' negative, if all theses pieces could be uncursed, I repeat, every single artifact ingame would loose their use. But we must not forget teh dupers. Only a single drop of that removal curse item and they dupe hundreds of it ? that would be a nightmare ...

    I hope the remove curse doesn't ever make it but I can't say I don't save the super awesome cursed pieces jussttttttt in case ;)

    There are enough items in the game that there is NO need to remove any of the negatives from any of the items dropped.

    Wish in one hand +@@+ in the other.

    This is something that should never be considered.

    I just wish the -100 Luck did not count as a mod. I'd be fine keeping it if I could just adjust the mods on an otherwise average five mod piece. Usually I just want to salvage one property that was at max but the rest of the item was weak and imbue it.
