That link isn't too accurate, considering it took close to 40 hours or so for them to go from fairly to greatly. Atleast these ones did.

That is the problem EVERYTHING on STRATICS is outdated or inaccurate

it mentions nothing about automatic as a status it also says you have to refresh your houses if grandfathered.

I know i know STRATS is all voluntary whatever not my problem

Just stating the FACTS and speaking of FAQS look at the average age of the present FAQS

You clearly have no idea how much work people like Petra have put into updating and maintaining the information on Stratics. Stratics is still the best source of information on UO on the internet. There was a time when a lot of the information on Stratics was out of date, but that is no longer the case. And instead of randomly handing out insults to people who don't deserve it, why don't you start offering updates for information that you find that is out of date?

If you think EVERYTHING is wrong then why do you come here?

the info on stratics was current, untill they "turned" these idocs on,they are either under some of the old rules or something new but the DEVS wont tell you because they only want their friends "the sites that sell uo stuff" to know the idoc times.

Actually it kinda is. The current staff do their best to keep things updated, but it's a daunting task to say the least. Users (that'd be you and other posters) are more than welcome to submit corrected info and help keep things up to date. Not only is it appreciated, it's also encouraged.

Next time before you complain about something, perhaps you should try to help rectify the problem. You DO have the power in this case.

im guessing its more like the devs dont even know when they will fall and the site just generalized 5 days to keep people informed.

Here is the thing server resets can change the times when they took the account system down that could have changed the times also because the two are connected! we just have to many variables ATM to get a correct gauge of the time!

Sure seems to me like the IDOC time is exactly like it was before the decay was suspended. Houses typically went New - Greatly in 6 days and fell early on the 7th day. I alway took the " you have 5 days to save your house " to mean that if you waited until the 6th day to activate your account you probably would not make it through the 24 hour refresh period before the house fell.

Because i PAY to spend my free time playing a game not doing EA work for them. I am sure it takes a lot of work but unfortunately its too large a task for volunteer work - I quick look and here is what you get
    bard faq 2009
smith faq 2008 last post 2010
    sygian *** last post 2010
    tink 2008 last post 2010
    tailoring last post 2009
    fletching 2008 last post 2008
    necro last post 2010
    scribe 2009 last post 2010
    mage 2008
    warrior 2005

Now what would lead anybody new to the game to think that this information is up to date and valid

i would even pay a dollar or two more per month if i thought it would go to maintaining up to date validate playerguides. We all love the open sandbox but the drawback in initial learning curve.

why not? if i spent my time updating i would label it in big gold letters my god get credit for the work you do i have been playing for a long time and i know to not let the dates fool me but a player not knowing what to do or how the systems works would not only be discouraged but probably more confused then ever. i wouldn't spend my time in game not know whether what i am doing is productive or even in line with the games design

i dont fault Stratics and i certainly dont fault those that do volunteer their time it just upsets me when a company charges me for a service then take aspect of that service and abandons it. when i first subscribed game support was performed and maintained by EA but somewhere along the line they decided to stop performing that task and didnt bother reducing the fee i was charged. The same thing applies at the grocery story when did i agree to bag my own groceries somehow they convinced us that it was OUR duty.

I have found that that timeline is dead on actually. I believe you may find that some that are not aging as quickly have vendors on them which as stated DOES effect the idoc process.

Is anyone looking across shards? Are ALL shards synched up or are there time differences between shards?

IE - Are they based off server up time or did every shard start their timer at the same time?

The housing servers are not shard server specific, they will all fall within 2-3 hours of each other.

even on the same shards there seems to be differences.

im watching 2 and the one is a step ahead of the other.

which is strange..... same server... same zone..... same facet

a fella would think they would be totally in line with each other.

Same...I have a few still at fairly and the rest went greatly earlier today...so color me confused! That coupled with the fact that apparently since Origin was reverted the housing timers should have reverted as well... :/ I'm lost! lol

    now see

i can understand when they actually GO into IDOC, cause then there is some mathematical thing they use, how big the lot is, how much stuff is in it ect ect ect to see how long it lives in IDOC state for.

but these arnt in IDOC yet.

so they should all be clicking along at the same pace.

    but they arnt.
(i was gonna put 'are not' above, but then i reflected upon my grammer on the entire post and realised that it would totally throw off the feng shui i have going with the whole illiterate moron thing)

Hey Rowdy - how about stating what's changed in Smith, tailor, tinkering & fletching, that would require a NEW POST (most changes are done with edits)?

    That's right, nothing major.

It so happens, though, that I have been laying the groundwork for updating the Tailor FAQ to include the Gargoyle items, since requests for viewers to submit data from SA have gone unanswered for two years, and while I am the Craftsman Mod and FAQ updater, I don't have a single Gargoyle either, and have had no reason to actually craft any stuff they wear or wield. People STILL haven't submitted a new section I asked to be submitted to the Carpentry FAQ, covering Masonry/Stoneworking in the SA era, either.

It also doesn't help that I misplaced some of the spreadsheets that were used to make screen grabs of some of the table images.

Note that Imbuing was just updated in the last couple weeks. Two of the other crafting FAQs are actually edits of long-departed players' work (fletching, especially), and I CAN'T edit them without getting temporary supermod powers to allow me to edit others' posts, and that's not given lightly.

You know, This is really REALLY disappointing. The folks who run this site work damn hard to provide us with not only a great database of information, but also a place to communicate with each other about our game(s). Then some ignoramus comes along and makes a statement like this. I can't count the number of times that I have used this site as a reference for what I am seeing in the game. Your comment is rude, misinformed and to be quite honest asinine. I challenge you to find ANY site as in depth or as accurate as stratics. My apologies to the OP for this off topic post, however I felt that it really needed to be said.
