I haven't been around for about 8 yrs but returned last month. I don't know what has changed, or how good some of the info i've read is so i'm gonna ask a few questions....real noob questions. With all the returning players i've run into, this would help us all.

So, I've looked around and the info I'm gonna ask for is in a number of places, but seems to vary. As IDOC crash day is coming quickly, I wanted, no needed, to get some good answers in one place for everyone to have.

    1) when you place a new home, do you need to have gold in the bank or can it be in the form of checks?

    2) if you own a home already, what happens if you place new one? Are you still able to collapse the old one and get gold? How long do you have to clear out the old one?

    3) By everyone's calculations, what day is the big collapse? Will it happen at server up or...?

I'm asking these cause I don't know how to answer the half dozen people who have asked me. I'm betting there are a lot of folks out there who are just not sure and would really appreciate answers from the folks who know this like the back of their hand.

    Thanks folks.

Houses and npcs can take gold from checks in bank now.

if you place a 2nd house your first house becomes condemned and goes into the 5 dayish decay timer.

i think the estimates on the new idocs is around saturday nite-sundayish? not good with the idoc calculations heh. the newer system does a random drop time after it hits the final day. so hard to pinpoint
