If there are no players to fight there should be NPCs

    It is ridiculous that you can capture a city by just standing there all by yourself. If there are no players to fight there should at least be NPCs guarding the altars so you have to do something.

    Just make them another "guild" you have to fight except they are not that strong and once you kill them they are dead.

    Like the idea. Any altar that spawns and no people are present, weak npc's spawn with it.... maybe have one caster type that does not leave altar so you can lure it away to claim.

    I'd prefer is the npc's would spawn either as Virtue (blue) or Vice (red). The blues attacking reds only and if you are blue you can claim without hurting them and Vice spawn and attack anyone trying to claim altar.

    The idea of having two sides does not work if every guild is on its own. So unless they are going to change the whole system, just make NPCs their own separate entity.

    Based on your rant, a change to the system might be what's needed. Nothing crazy, just allow people to join Vice, Virtue or remain independent.

    To piggy back on your idea, why not have all the altars spawn with an NPC group of protectors. 3 altars, 3 groups: 1 Vice, 1 Virtue and 1 Independent. You can't begin to occupy and a sigil will not spawn until all the enemies are removed from the altars. This creates at least some PVM battles when no one is around and will require someone to take at least some action other then standing around to capture a city.

    So what you two are suggesting is implement the Blackthorn system to the altars?? The system is already there, the devs should only change the toon colors to represent the right side??

    What the are asking for is a PVM element to a pvp system that's failed..and now they are looking for ways to gain more silver since no one else uses it because they nerfed basically the whole idea..add silver to kills in the field..nobody fights for towns..it's boring there is no reason to

    Yeah a few NPCs around the town to fight could add some extra fun. They could be the townspeople who are trying to defend their town from the invaders (players) and based off the same AI that the old faction guards used.
