    ...join them.

Started my tamer training this weekend, lol.

Let's have all characters on the shard train the skill up, then we all can parade around the shard with our greater dragons...weeeeeeee. Maybe someone can create a zerg mega guild that only allows tamers...now this would be grand fun...la

Red is currently Tame: 85.xx and Lore 104.xx

Mostly for when the events come around and tamers are like gods.

And to have fun with WyRm and a few others.

This isn't for my thief...this is for my completed necro mage, lol. I had GM tame, vet and lore on my thief years ago...but grew tired of those skills.

Tamer PvP...field a group of 10 or so, with a few dismounters and trackers. Nobody would leave their houses.

    Who is in?...la

*side note: my taming is at 22, so it may be a while before I get to parade around with a greater dragon...la

Red had Gm + taming lore long b4 soulstones as well this is actually my 3rd time training taming on siege. But since I have 20+ soulstones why not make taming for Red LOL.
Oh and btw to me yer a newbi thief that really hasn't been on the shard that long compared to me. I was a Safe Haven Regular way back when you were still newbing around on prodo shards. LOL

Just to mention. Taming may be the most boring skill to train in UO. OMG. At least I can kill my tames quickly, so they re-spawn. Anyone have any quick and easy taming macros for UOA they might be willing to share? Got from 22 to 38 last night. It got so bad, I stopped collecting the skins from the poor cows, lol...la

At the very least, you should have a macro for use taming skill and target next bound to a key. You might want one for lore as well. I also use macros for all stop/all follow me/all guard me/all kill. Last object/last target macro is good for repeat bandaging of a pet, as after you apply the first bandage from a stack in your pack, you can just press the key to repeat for the same pet. That is really helpful when you are fighting something like a paragon that does a lot of damage very quickly and you need to be continuously bandaging.

To relieve some of your boredom, when you get to the 50's you might go to Ice Island and tame packs of polar bears, then go into Deceit L1 to fight mummies and zombies with them so you can get your vet gains too. The mummies drop about 300 gold and 10 bandaids each, which lets you train your vet continually without having to go to pick up more bandaids.

If you are power taming for fastest skill up there is no way around it, you are in for a horror of tedium.

My most used macro was a special one that was apparently pre-coded into the game just for me. It was "say all kill, target Castor". I didn't even have to set that one up or anything, it was automatic. In fact, it triggered even when I wasn't aware of it. :D

While being infamous in a game may be what you strive for in life T'Challa, it is most certainly not my life's calling.

Because this next quote makes you cool, not infamous...

  28. Just buy the darn advanced character and start with taming at 85. This skill is sick to boost. Unfortunately, its almost GGS all the way to 120 (that's 350 gains or about 400 days). Just kidding, you can actually gain about 0.5 (absolute optimum: not actaully attainable by human beings) a day with an hour a day's worth of grinding on hinds and bulls. It was murder getting taming on my disco-tamer to 100 from 85. Must have spent prolly 50 hours to do it. Question: If you planned on grinding taming up from 0, why didn't you start a new character with 50 taming? My advice, buy the advanced char and slap on taming jewelry like every other shlub out there.

Did you happen to see what forum you are posting in? Advanced character? GGS?

The hard part of taming on Siege is going from 0-70. Once you hit RoT, it's as simple as all the other skills to get to cap...la
