I did this with one other for about 5 hours the other day.
Exercise does wonders to cure boredom
or, you could wait until its night, turn on dark nights, and run around the lost lands with a torch and battle thy way to, something.

Go hunt down and tame an albino squirrel.
I went in search of a squirrel a few weeks ago just for the hell of it, I had a fun time with my stealther herding squirrels to tame.
If you don't play on Origin already, make a new character or two there so you have characters there to try out new stuff before everyone else when we get the next publish, next expansion, etc. Starting from scratch, you should have something challenging to do for the next couple of weeks, at least.
And if you don't already use the KR client, consider giving it a try.
Find the spawn point for the bamboo stool, then deliver it back here.
Alternately, you could do what I do and, um, slay hinds in the healer grove while laughing hysterically.
...I recommend the first one.
Remove all your items from your character and then go buy equipment from NPC merchants. Then see how skilled you are using these weak items. See what you can kill.
Some of us have already done that when the game came out. Slimes, rats, oh my.
game mechanics have changed a lot since the beginning. Fighting in gm-only gear now isn't quite what it was in the 90s
hmm ... What's your Myers-Briggs personality type?
(what interests one person might well bore another further)
Yes, I remember when AoS was released, there were a ton of players dying to ettins because armor that had once been fine now just wasn't cutting it.
If you're saying it was easier back then you are very mistaken. Healing was a waste of skill points, heal potions did very little. It was attack for a little bit then run and ask a mage for a heal or wait for your health to recover. There was no exceptional bonus for armor, most didn't have the strength to wear plate.
what I'm saying is, armor class of pre-aos armor didn't carry over into the resists of new armor, so more damage was received.
Special moves were no longer a random event that happened to anyone - now you need to activate it, costing mana.
Defense chance was not a matter of items with the right properties, it was your skill. Not to mention the massive alterations to the Resisting Spells skill and a good chunk of the mage's arsenal.
there are a LOT of new game-rules that just make it impossible to compare current gm-equipment fighting to the same in the earlier days.
Giver a try. Think about a template, and get started. Check out Luna right away and see if you can get into the NEW guild. You might be surprised how much fun starting over can be...la
Run naked through felucca with as many gold coins as you can carry just to see how long you can keep it.
