How difficult / costly would it be to make a GM suit of normal leather, imbue a few extra points per resist (to keep it easy, and i assume, cheap) then enhance it with barbed?

That should be an easy way to an all 70s suit, no?

Or do the exceptional points count as 'magical' for the purposes of imbuing, thus counting towards the intensity cap/difficulty?

Hmm...might not be a bad idea. Only problem is that enchanting has a pretty catastrophic failure rate. So lets just say you make a GM leather tunic, imbue it so it has 10 resists in each category, then try to enchance it. It will work, I just don't know if the failure rate which causes your tunic to be destroyed is closer to 10% or 90%. I would guess the failure rate would be around 50-60%.

I would say it's gonna be costly from a failure rate trying to enhance it.

I think you'd be better off with GM suit and imbue it with lots of HP regen to offset the lower resists.

Then work on defensive manuvers so you dont get hit so often.

Anyone run into the fire ants? Mean little #$^%^#

Super fast and 5 or 6 of them surrounded me casting what appeared to be like conflag pots at their feet, each dealing 20 - 25 damage... cat form couldnt save me. :(

Very hard. I did it on test. Took LOTS of time, and LOTS of imbuing ingredients.

For wood stuff, yes, cause wood has an absurdly high enhance rate.

I came out of stealth to test my Titans leg bone on it, to see what it would do. I didnt think it would run so fast, so I couldnt out pace it to hide again, and I ran past more of them as I was fleeing.

No UOA for those other suggestions, chug, chug, etc...

With num lock off, Ctrl-numpad makes you run, freeing the mouse to click. =]
