Imbuing for pets?

Was killing the monsters in Cov lev 4 (the ones with the 90+resists) and thought i was doing ok (disco/tamer) but then this sammy turns up and all i can say was wow...

He killed about 5 of the monsters while my GD was still killing the first one (discorded) and he was cutting throught them like butter, i was highly impressed. :)
With the advent of imbuing/reforging, it has made the sampire/wratith thrower et all .. so much more powerful that the best tamer and GD and watching this sampire cut through the mobs with ease made me think about imbuing items for pets? Maybe a special collar or runic claws to attach to high end pets?

    Just a thought...

Sampire types are by FAR the most powerful template in the game as you have seen they can handle many critters at one time that other templates are lucky to handle one! its been my opinion for a long time that these types need balancing.
This has always been the way of things in UO one class will rule for a while then they will "balance" them and another will take its place.
The sampire type is over due i think!

Yup, I think balancing Sampires down would be preferential to items for boosting pets up. My brain is struggling to keep up with new equipment as it is, adding stuff for pets would probably result in a RL out of memory error :D

Well Sampires require much more prep time, much more specific equips and expense, and are harder to play. I really think that tamers just need more pets to be able to prepare for specific situations more than anything. And along with that many more stable slots. Something like more special attacks for pets like weapon specials (that randomly hit like the did on weapons in the olden days) could also help.
