I have a mage wep -20 with no other mod's on it and was wondering if it could be imbued to be a scnp wep? Or when spell channeling is imbued on a wep is it automatically sc -1 property? Also can scnp be imbued?

  2. I don't know the answer to your question but I do know it's easier to do mage weapon property than to do spell chanelling but that is with a -29 magery. I am making a series of spell chanelling mage weapons to help me gain in magery. I am at about 100.4 imbuing and can't do faster cast on a spell chanelling mage weapon. But it does give me a zero chance of sucess which means I can probably do it with more skill. So it looks like it should be possible with more skill than I have at GM.

yes it can be imbued with SC and faster cast to get rid of the -1!

Might be cheaper to start with a looted spellchannel no penalty weapon and imbue the mage weapon =P (-21mage intensity dont even require special regs)

What Storm said is correct. SCNP weapon is two properties, spell channeling and FC +1 to negate the FC -1 which automatically is added with spell channeling. The Faster Casting property isn't displayed but rest assured it's still there on scnp weapons.

Why lose the extra 50% intensity?

Actually, it's not really a matter of losing the 50% weight intensity. It's more about being able to get the 5 properties. If you use a crafted wep, you automatically lose 1 property due to crafted wep's always having DI (which uses 1 property). Even if you lower DI to 1%, you're still using up a property slot.

What I did was use the lowest runic tool (in my case oak runic) and made Exceptional bokutos until i had a FC+1 (saving 5 relic frags and 10 Ess of Achievement) weapon.

Then I blew 400K worth of Powder of Fortification which brought the Dur to 255.

Then I added SC (cheap - 10 snake skins) , so then had a Bokuto DI 35 & SC no Pen.

THEN I added FC+1 (EXPensive - esp if you fail 5+ Relic Frags & 10 Ess of Achievement)

Then I added -20 Mage Use (10 Faerie Dust, moderately exp).

    End result:

    Bokuto

    -20 Mage Use
    SC no pen
    FC+1
    DI 35
    Dur 255

Made a matching shield to go with it, just in case they nerf the SC FC+1 imbue mod.

which gave me a Bokuto with -20 Mage, SC no pen, FC+1, DI35 and 255 Dur.

Not sure when u made these items, but i just tried a shield and it wouldn't let me imbue the fc1 onto it. So the fix is already in...

From what I recall, has to be the first or 2nd mod, shied only has 450 even if exceptional, and the DUR 255 from the DC and Powder and the +7 Phys Resist from DC also affect the mods. Would have loved to have added +15 DCI, but on the two shields I did make, 8 DCI was the max I could add.

I would experiment to see if it was truely nerfed, but far too expensive to do so, and I am sure that they would nerf it. Now I can sell one of my shields - since they are "rare" :)

Yes, Sir Morder, the FC+1 tag appears on its own line when you highlight weapon and shield.
