Imbuing why?

    When you are imbuing some stuff on weapons if its a bow it uses essences and melee weapons uses residue. Specifically resists. Does any one know why.

    From what I can tell, most, if not all of these properties have higher caps on bows. I am guessing this is the devs' way of balancing it.
