Would be nice to see some. No need for any uber rewards. Deco rewards and maby a mortal who can grind a int potion.

Scribe gets deco and a deed who can ad 1 propery to a book

Humm.....this sounds like a stretch to me but, hey, why not?

Reward would be a cool alchemists table that could double as a place to store pots, regs, and scrolls only. Humm, also runic scribe's pens to make special high end spell books, or rune books with some neat quality.

So you would find it fun having alchemy bods where you might have to submit what? A 20 Greater Poison Bod? 40...60...80? Weeeeeeeeee! Now that would be great fun. *rolls eyes*...la

Some ideas for Alchemy bulk order rewards..

    - Sturdy Mortar & Pestle
100 uses, doesn't waste uses when a potion making attempt fails. This means one tool will fill an entire keg, no matter how much reagent wastage there may be in the process. Easy to get.

    - Flask
Looks like lantern oil, holds 10, 20 or 30 potions, weighs only 1, 2 or 3 stones respectively. Using a flask chugs one potion from it. Works just like using a potion stack only weighs less. Relatively easy to get, depends on capacity.

    - Potion Belt
Insurable, but able to be snooped/stolen from (at least until thieves get some love). Will hold 1, 3, or 5 potion stacks/flasks, contents stay with wearer upon death. Uses same slot as a ninja belt but likewise doesn't have to be worn to use. Moderately hard to get, depends on capacity.

    - Potion Sling
Allows a volley of 3 explosion potions to be hurled at once, leveling the field between players with and without UO:Assist. Has a warning message *begins to menacingly swing a potion sling*, must target before the potion countdown runs out or risk injuring self. Potions behave in the usual way, just three in quick succession. Has a usage cooldown period similar to conflags. Difficult to get.

    - Funnel
Allows kegs of potions to be poured directly into a stack of bottles/flask, instead of one at a time. I'm assuming there's some coding reason why this can't be done by dropping the keg onto the stack, so a funnel could be employed to handle the action as a special case. Limited uses, although each use may fill up to 100 bottles. Easy to get.

    - Enchanted Hourglass
Similar look to the gargoyle hourglass but not animated, hued gold, has a settings gump. Can be set to chime when potion lockout timers (such as conflags) wear off, or when buff potions are about to expire, say 5 seconds warning. Relatively difficult to get.

    - Alchemist's Bench
An alternate graphic to that cruddy elven one, possibly animated bubbles etc, acts as a container.

    - Glassblowing Recipes
Unlock more glassware art for crafting.

    - Sand Trowel
A shovel that improves your chance to find glass-quality sand. Sand mining is too damned tedious.

    - Sand Bucket
A container for storing sand in. Don't know why they can't make it stack, but if it must be approached a different way I suggest a bucket or the like.

    ----

And, just a general improvement, potion-specific macros in the 2D client, please!

    Awesome ideas..... awesome!
I hate when I can't tell when the agility & str buffs are gonna wear out.
I have to admit... I do love the KR potion macros.

NO MORE BODS. Fix the bod system we have now before we introduce any new bods... I would prefer to do away with bods and wish they would consider giving smith hammers/items like they are doing for the turn ins. You turn in 50 hatchets you looted off of some creature to get (x) as a reward. You turn in 5 valorite armor sets and get (y) as a prize.

I'm all for Alchemy BODs. They wouldn't have to be complex by any stretch and could be a good way to help Alchemists gain skill in a meaningful way instead of "grind and dump".

Would need to have Large BODs at all, just the Smalls in various amounts with a point rating for each one (ala the Turn-in and collections) with a list of rewards.

The rewards themselves wouldn't need to be overpowered, but helpful and useful items for the Alchemist from "sturdy mortars" to mortars that give a bonus to potion creation and so on.

Maybe tie it in to certains NPCs... start off with a Trainer in New Haven up to 50.0, then to a trainer in Britain for 50.0-75.0, then to Zento for 75.0-90.0, then end up at a hermit's hut in Ilshenar with a Grandmaster Alchemist for 90.0-GM.

Just something to throw out there.

All great ideas, I suggest that all items have a limited number of uses that way there will always be a market for them. and OSI not put in a 120 power scroll requirement.

It's stupid requests like adding yet more BoDs that makes this game crap.

The current BoD system is complete garbage and is abused by scripters 24/7. How about they fix that instead of adding more stupid systems with yet even more crap items to fill our houses.

If the system is stupid and the items crap, how does that affect your play style? If you don't like the BoD game, don't play it.

It effects my playstyle because what few Devs are left on this game are wasting precious development time adding in yet another pointless system instead of fixing the real problems with this game.

Hmm, on second thought.... since Devs are stretched, then perhaps leave them to bug squashing. THAT'S priority #1 in my opinion. (fix KR more pleeezzzze)

But I'm willing to put up with small bugs if some new content was added to this game. Errrr, new unbugged content, that is.:bored:

  20. Veganite

There will always be a balancing act between new content and fixing problems. I personally feel that the real problems in this game are beyond the Dev's ability to fix. Adding pointless content (according to you) is probably much easier than fixing this game and will bring enjoyment to others.

Colter the stupid system you talk about effects 100% of the players. How many player can you count that not use runic armor parts?

  22. Coppelia

    Coppelia Guest

It affects our playstyles as BOD system becomes the norm and crafters become useless without it.

And "BoD game"... this is not a game. It's a lottery for losers who can't play. Consolation prize for those who can't kill a paragon balron but are ready to fill their character slots with BOD runners, buy more accounts for that or even bot.

Hmmm how about alchs can get a recepi to make a potion you use on wool to make papper mass.

Scribes reward can be a tool to make scrolls from papper mass.

beside fink,s rewards i would also as a bit of same to scribes. A scribe pen who dont lose items when failed to make.

One reward would also be that you get recepies on SW spells.

Do noy stop there why not have all the trade skills cap out at 120 and match artifact loot or better this in itself would create a very interesting area in the game BUT only if it can be made script proof

Yes, that was a harsh comment but...
And you, are you blind? ^^

Do you really thing the BOD system is working so well we can have it on every crafting skills?

Right now, yeah, I'd say that BODs are working fine. You don't even need multiple characters anymore to run them and even the low end tools are useful since the changes.

The BOD system doesn't have to folow the same formats as Tailoring and Smithing as I noted above in my idea on how an Alchemy BOD system would work.

If you don't like the system(s)... DON'T DO THEM and buy your runics and/or goods from someone who does.

Im not in on having 120 scrolls on alch and scribe if they dont bost EP or SDI alot.

I sugested long ago if scribe should get powerscrolls you should be able to set 1 slayer as a personal enemy and therefor not need that slayer on any book. it would boost pvm mages alot and help them come in par whit others in pvm.

If alch got powerscrols you should get 10 EP for each 5 point after GM. That would make alch a useful skill in pvm and pvp templet.

I am neither blind nor narrow minded. The proposal was not to make alchemy BoD’s like the other trades. I think the idea and rewards posted by Nisse/Ubbe and Fink are quite reasonable and not unbalancing. Perhaps if the Dev’s started smith and tailor BoD’s with simple rewards the BoD system wouldn’t leave out so many players.

The inportent why i want to have dod,s for scribe and alch is to be able to do some whit out just powergrind for vendor or making scrapers.

To be honest a scribe bood could be extremly hard to fil. An example of a uber bod for scribe would be to fill a bod whit 1 of each superslayers.
How easy is it to create that? Or mak ex numbers of books whit a serten amount of mods and a serten mod on it.

Sorry Coppelia, but I just had to laugh!

Just before coming to read the boards I was out hunting Balrons.
Granted a Para didn't pop but my friend and I were quite prepared for one.

Then after we were done the same char I used to hunt Balrons with went home and relaxed by filling some Bods in front of the fire. Odd huh? Hunt with me and I can whip out some Legendary armor for you on the fly!

I enjoy filling Bods, and collecting them is a hobby of mine. They will never make me rich, but I do get the occasional runic kit to sell or use as I see fit.
Get rid of Bods and what will a crafter be good for? Making the random sleeves or gloves that the arties don't cover? Selling a few repair deeds?

The problem is the scripters. Plain and simple.
Whether it is Bod runner scripts, the invisible folks in Heartwood scripting the Quests, or the masses of Warrior chars scripting in the Painted Caves and the Dojo's across the shards.

The rules are in place. They just need to be acted on.

They need to do a carpentry and fletching bod system to replace the crappy quest system to get runics before they touch on anything else. It would also be nice if each bod turn in had a chance to give a special recipe so you could get tailoring and smithy recipes without doing Heartwood quests.

I'm down for the idea's for BOD's in here. Most don't even affect the way items are made or what ever... and for the idea's that "enhance" items.. makes them EASY to get, thus theres no reason for scripting to get them, and everybody will be able to use and enjoy them with out having to do alot for them. As far as the house decors and storage things, make them harder to get, they aren't something that would be a item thats required to have good stuff, but rather a convienence for people and houses. People will work for them, but I doubt most people will go out of their way to pay uber gold for it. :)

I Vote a Yes for this idea if they implement it this way. Anything that would become a normal way to craft anything that is even useful shouldn't be that hard to get, as it should be available to all players, casual, and people who love bod's to death. :) the people who love them more, can set up shops and sell their items to people who dont use them, and wont have to charge CRAZY amounts ( on LS some vendors are just.. insane for armour peices)
