    Beg about what, one may ask ?

    Beg, , implore, cry, whine to finally get special "item count conservative" containers (like those working for Bulk Order Deeds) for a number of items like :

    - Books for Treasure Maps where 500 can be stored and count as 5 items ;
    - Jewel Cases were 500 of all sorts of jewels can be stored and count as 5 items ;
    - Seeds' boxes where 500 of all sorts of jewels can be storted and count as 5 items ;
    - Special Armoires where 500 of a given armour can be stored and count as 5 items ;
    - Special "Holiday Boxes" where all those item count devouring Holiday items can be stored. Can store up to 1,000 Holiday items and count only as 5 items (yeah, I know, but we do have way too many holidays in one year and just way too many holiday items to put away.....) ;
    - The "imbuer's" "deep pockets" special container where an imbuer can throw all the loot whether regular or artifacts and then, thanking to special filters that the cointainer may have, pull out for imbuing purposes whatever item one needs to imbue according to the needs of the moment ;

    - Insert here any additional item count special container "saver" you may want to suggest.....

    And if I beg, implore, cry, whine more, can we also get special filters (like with BOD books( to be able to sort out those items stored and eventually pull out fast what we want ?

    Make them a Veteran reward (they would be just a PERFECT high end Vet Reward since they would not be indispensable nor ground breaking for game play but nonetheless, would be usefull...), or make them new craftables, or perhaps special code purchaseables but please, PLEASE just make them.............

    I have lost count of how many years I have been waiting now to see these in the game.

    Can we call it over the counting of time and just SEE THEM in the game, finally ??

    Thank you.

    - Treasure maps are mostly useless and should be either done and/or donated at the turn-in.
    - You don't need to hoard jewelry anymore with imbuing around, heck I unraveled nearly all jewelry I had hoarded.
    - Seeds should stack now
    - Eh? Armors are too different to stack, and again with imbuing you no longer need to hoard armors or weapons.
    - Well, I actually agree with the one about holiday and collectors items, make some sort of display case where it has all the items thats ever been made in the collections, all starting at zero and then when you add collected items, it adds to the number. Would also mean that collectors would have an easier time keeping track of what to collect to have full sets.
    - Your imbuing suggestion makes no sense.

    - If you have 500 treasure maps, will you ever do them?
    - They gave us a way to stack seeds, it is in Nujelm.
    - Why would you ever need 500 pieces of armor of a given type an what does that even mean?
    - Re-gift the holiday gifts and spread the cheer to others (since you do not seem to enjoy all of them, they seem to be a commodity for you).
    - As for Imbuing, it is called "Unravel Container" and it's the last option on the Imbuing menu.

    Learn to organize your stuff, if you are having problems with it. Make use of the container engraving tools. Set up your own "system" for organization and you can even make your own database to go along with it.

    Talk about asking for an "Easy Button" for UO.

    I agree with Lord Chaos... your imbuing suggestion makes Zero sense...

    I would like a book to store maps... or some way to store them to take less lockdowns.... MIB's too..... since the only reason I keep holding on to them is I keep thinking ONE DAY.... the DEV's will actually fix them so they aren't 100% worthless....Change them to make them more worthwhile... as it is why would anyone do them beyond getting crap to unravel and some gems?

    Needs fixed and yes Seeds stack.... so blah...

    And as for armor and weapons and jewelery... the only thing I want with all that is some form of house sorter that can help me find just the right piece I'm looking for.

    It actually does make sense.
    But, let's not let awkward details like that stand in the way.

    If you could explain the imbuing idea in a different way, please do so. As it reads now, I cannot make heads or tails of what is meant by the following:

    Well, I have to agree with the ideas for T-Maps and seeds.

    My husband and I collect a ton of them, and then go on spree's of doing hundreds over like a week or 2, then we will collect again.

    For the seeds, yes, when the box works it it great (though it does not work for all, I had about 200 stacks not work with the box) and if someone is like me, then they want a stack of all possible seeds, and that is about 278 stacks, not including black/white/aqua/pink/magenta or fire seeds. So I would love a container for seeds and I know there are many others that feel the same way.

    His imbuing idea basically sounds like some container you can throw everything into where you can sort the items, similar to how Bod books have sort features. That's what I gathered from his post.

    I don't know how realistic an idea it is, but it would be cool just to throw all the junk in there and then be able to pull out items with this skill on it or that property on it.

    to paraphrase an oft repeated quote from the developers. It's all about choices.
    In this case, the choice of what to keep and what to discard.
    You have a finite number of lockdowns. Asking the developers to find a way to turn 'finite' into 'infinite' isn't, at current time, a choice that's available. So, in short, don't keep so much junk.

    But what I think, Connor isn't governed by RoC. What I actually type, however is. I censor my thoughts to comply with the the commitment I made when creating my Stratics account. :p

    Seems to me that he was looking for something comparable to the BOD books, or Jewellery Boxes that were a popular "want"
    A "container" with the ability to sort/modify based on specified filter options - so if I were looking to make a magery training suit, I could filter the contents by properties such as MR2, and select appropriate pieces to take out and add LRC to. Or whatever else tickles your fancy.

    Yeppers....

    Actually, now that artifacts are no longer imbuable this special cointainer would be helpfull only for regular armour as in regards to imbuing purposes.

    Though, it could help sort out artifacts by modifiers using the filters of the special conitainer when trying to boost a suit for some particular mods....

    it's no fun, but I bet it keeps her and the other Mods on the boards! <chuckle>

    Actually I would like a BOD-type setup for stuff I want to unravel/imbue instead of containers all over with things I need to retry as skill gains. Example: drop items into a book/chest that categorizes it into the 10-point skill range it can be unraveled or imbued.

    So I want to unravel stuff ... open book, select what 10-point range my skill is in. Now I have a selection of items that I can unravel - or imbue. Right now as I try things and find I have too little skill, I need to shunt it to another container ... etc.

    Containers are limited to 125 items, books to 500. That's the equivalent of 4 containers.

    I guess all is relative......

    I do not see design features making game play more player friendly as necessarily being an "easy button" for the game.

    It just makes the gaming experience less frustrating and less annoying, IMHO.

    An easy button, as I see it, is one that allows, in a fighting game (be it PvP or PvM), one that allows to win fights more easily.

    But design that tend to make it easier to find things or help with storage I hardly see it as any "easy button". Just helping a game be more player friendly, that is.....

    If you find storage and retrieval of items to be frustrating, I will gladly try to help you fix that. I suggest you try to make your gameplay more enjoyable using the current system. You will find it to be more rewarding in the end because of your efforts to make it better. Instead of asking the develpoers to sort out all of your stuff for you, develop a way to organize YOUR items to support YOUR gaming experience (what works for you may not work for others). This will also help to reduce the clutter in your house, because you will be able to see how items compare to what you already have (then determine if you should keep them).

    In order to help you improve your UO experience, and assist in organizing your items, please answer these questions:
    1. What type of characters do you play (just general information about them)?
    2. How do you organize your BODs?
    3. How do you organize your Jewelry?
    4. How do you organize your Armor?
    5. How do you organize your Weapons?
    6. How do you organize your Treasure Maps?

    Stayin Alive,

    Thanks for clearing that up. It sounds like a generic version for the Jewelry and Armor sorting boxes.

    The problem I have with this, is that items, especially high end items, have several modifiers, not just one.
    And, when they are high end items, often more than one modifier is at a high level.

    Needs can change.

    One day one may want to imbue something for a given modifier, another day the need might change and one might need to locate some other batch of items with that modifier.

    Unfortunately, for example, if some items are stored in a chest for resistances, even though they have, say, high LRC, the day that one is looking for LRC items, since they are stored in the chest for resistances, some items carrying high LRC might go overlooked unless one looks at all of them with the consequential waste of time this would need.

    Instead, if there was just one deep container where all of the items might go for imbuing purposes, as the need arises one could just filter the search for that given modifier or, even better, for a number of modifiers and pull them up....

    Say that a player needs to imbue an item to have certain resistances, at least X LRC, Y LMC and such, one just sets the special container to sort for all items matching those paramethers and voila, in a few seconds the pertaining items are found.

    No hassle, no waste of time, no headaches.

    Why should a player have to spend countless time looking at chests, bank boxes, blue beetles to find something and redo this search every time that some particular item is needed for imbuing purposes ?

    I do not think such a special container would make UO easier, just more enjoyable, IMHO.

    Good organization is not hard to do. It does not waste time, in fact it saves time (often more than tenfold). If what you mentioned above is your take on organization, you are grossly misguided (and would benefit alot from help).

    Unfortunately, it sounds like you are giving up without even trying. It sounds like you do not want any help on this. If you want help, please answer the questions I posed earlier and we can start from there.

    This is a game for me.

    Something to spend my time on when I got nothing better to do.

    My main priority to spend my time on is my real life. Job, family, friends....

    I do not want a game that takes away from me my time more than it is really necessary for my leisure and relax.......

    Hence, I welcome features that reduce drastically my waste of time in the game, especially for things which are chores.....

    At least, so i see it.
