Is there any easy way to get wooden bowls for fruit bowls?

Just wondering if I'm missing something, but the only way I found to get bowls for making fruit bowls is to buy bowls with food in them from NPC's and eat the food. This is fine for the most part but the real problem is my crafter is never hungry enough to eat the bowls empty and I have to log in 4 to 5 chars to eat all the food just to get bowls to keep my vendor stocked. Does any NPC sell the empty bowls?

I haven't found any vendors that sell just the wooden bowls and I don't think the devs ever put them in for sale other than full of food.

Another something to add to the wishlist!

I usually grab a bunch of peas or whatever and make all my guildies eat as much as they can, you'd be suprised how many bowls dexxers can eat, hehehhe.

heehee i remember asking people at the bank to eat em when I actually got a GM called on me! Somebody thought I was trying to poison people. So I showed the GM my bowl with the head in it and the guilotine I was making at the time (must have been doing a contest entry for Halloween). I was cleared of the accusation...and the GM oohed over my deco...and even popped by AGAIN with another GM to show him my house...lol, what a weird experience from trying to get an empty bowl!!!

Apparently hunger increases when your hp regenerates (rather than being healed by skill or magical means). No other stat seems to affect becoming hungry, although I would have stamina would be a natural. Also, there's no reason why doing a lot of mental work shouldn't whet one's appetite.

    Anyhow..

I have a character with a high hp regen suit and a weak trapped box. I sit there damaging myself and allowing the health to go up - rather rapidly as it's a decent suit. Then I gorge on wooden bowls of peas. It's easy enough to crank out a few dozen bowls this way and stash them for your chef to use.

For those of you who like the math, I found on that - on average- fishsteaks replenish around as much hunger as regenerating 44hp will create. I went on to test bowls of peas, and it's more to the tune of 52hp. I stopped testing after a few hundred runs & vowed to do a complete test of all foods and various methods some day, but I've yet to get back to it. So yes, for most chars, nearly killing yourself is worth about 2 wooden bowls.. [IMG]

A few things I need try are:
    - various wooden bowl foods, which is most efficient?
    - hpr suits vs no hpr, which is faster/better?
    - fishsteak through to roast pig, how much does each food replenish?
    - x 1000's of times for more accurate numbers.

If anyone wants to try this out & post their results I'd love to hear them. Maybe we could work out a table of the "value" of various foods.

actually i find that if you recall in and out of a server line...you CAN eat just one more bite...

Interesting.. does this only happen on chars that have hp buff gear? Also, can you spam recall to rapidly increase hunger? Which server lines/ facets are you crossing? Any other pertinent info?

oh lordie my chars certainly have ragamuffin gear. My npc crate thief has stealth and str rings and such but dat's about it. And i dunno but I can eat if I'm healing up on my health bar...or if i recall to other prov shop to eat the barrels out (once)...I've run back and forth in the shop to exercise but no conclusive proof if that works any better than hopping on one foot kissing my elbow. hehehe this reminds me of a friend of mine, she had this glitch where an item I can not remember what it was now but it disapeared...what happened was it went bellow the floor any way she wrote out loud something like "oh please god let me get it back"

and this voice from no where replied with "your wish is granted" and the item apeared in front of her LOL. After we got over the shock.

The the GM apeared smiled and appreciated the thanks and then went on his way it was rather funny but such things never happen any more as you just do not see the gms.

Back on topic yes we need craftable wooden bowls perhaps the different woods can hold a different type of salad that we can make from the many different foods we dont really get to use that are in UO. Or the different woods may give a special property to the foods that it holds. And we should be able to do things like dice carrots and Lettuc and melon and put them in a bowl.
