    Greetings,

I just returned to UO after about a year and I'm having some issues finding the information I need.

What is the deal on the new LMC cap and mana regeneration rates with non-meddable armor?
I was told the new cap can be around 50% for LMC but I couldn't find any sources on either UOGuide or doing a search on stratics..

I managed to find publish 81 notes for some base LMC for non-med pieces as well as DCI changes, but nothing regarding raising the LMC cap.

If the LMC cap is indeed higher, do the benefits of having higher LMC outweigh the cons of having your regen rate hindered by the non-med armor?

    Thanks

Studded, Bone and Stone armor offer 3% LMC bonus that can exceed the 40 LMC cap up to 5 pieces. Plate, Chain and Dragon pieces offer 1% bonus that can exceed the cap up to 5 pieces. So if you have 40 LMC on your suit and 5 pieces are made of studded leather, you would be at 55 LMC.

I think someone did the math that I saw someplace and even with 55 LMC it is not enough to outweight the loss of passive regen in medable armor. However, if you are leeching mana rather than regenerating it, the higher LMC is superior.

Ah I see thank you Merus.

I had originally thought to reach the new cap you had to imbue extra LMC on the suit to reach it. From my understanding of your post, it seems that as long as it's 40lmc I'll be at 55.
I'm mainly interested in PvP and I noticed most pvp dexxers are running bone/studded pieces. Seems like to many people running it for PvP if it didn't outweigh the cons of losing passive MR. Especially seeing how mana leech doesn't apply to PvP.

Most dexxers in PvP don't run meditation so the passive regen is kinda moot. As a dexxer with no med in PvP, far better to have the higher LMC.

you can still carry a mana leech weapon and just bang on some random critter when the opportunity presents it self.
