loot intensity from level 6?

    I did 6 level 6 last night. Not a HUGE sample, but it does represent almost 500 items. In 500 items, I have ONE item with intensity over 75% (a 76 luck piece). That of course does not include true / false intensities.
    I had 7 6 property items in those chests. All of them had intensity in the exact same range for all properties. None of those was over 50%.
    Is it possible to get 6 property items with higher intensity? Is the overalll LOW loot quality on purpose?

    At queens forge, 120 imbuer, I would unravel bags with 80 items each, including items from monster spawn. I did 13 bags. None of the bags yielded more than 36 enchanted essence. ALL of the bags yielded over 200 residue.
    Compared to Swoop, which is much easier, where I do a bag of 80 items and get 64+ enchanted essence, 1 relic, and about 150 residue.

    I did another five last night and reached about the same results though I did not see a single 6 mod item. I recieved a few of the arti's but over all nothing special. The spawn was fun though.

    The loot is the same as it was before, in my opinion. Done about 30-40 level 6 Maps, I have not kept one item, other than the specials.

    yeah, at this stage in the game with imbuing making items easier than ever to get. I see no reason not to give level 6 chests a peerless or close to it intensity roll.

    I just unraveled a bag with 64 items that all came from one level 5 t-chest. Results were: 2 enchanted essence, 212 magical residue...

    curious, what amount of luck was being worn when doing chests? and does luck affect chest loot?
     
  9. I can't help but think more feed back should have been given about this BEFORE publish. I for example did request the power crystals be stackable but seem it too fell on deaf ears.

    I said it, unless the modifiers are raised for chests' magic items at least for a few items in them, depending on the level of the Map, eventually players will see Treasure Maps as they used to, that they yield basically junk and hence, "why bother".... ?

    And all of the work done in revamping them will become not much used by players.....
     
  11. I just got a pair of leather gloves with MR 2 (100%) and Mana Increase 8 (100%) on them from a level 6 chest.

    Sweet. Only 70 reported maps to get two 100% properties on the same piece lol. At an avg of 20 mins per chest....1400 minutes of play. About 23 player hours. Hardly fits in with the casual gamer play time.

    Feedback is only useful if it is a) read and b) implemented.
    Over the 12 years I have played, I have submitted over 400 bugs and feedback posts. TWO have been implemented. These are not little things. I was one of the first posters to ask the the original Ilsh champ spawn chances be raised (thanks Fiery Ice). TWO YEARS later, we got power scrolls and champ spawns that were not a lottery.
    Leurocian is the only dev to have read and implemented these changes. That was night's kiss, changing it from 100% poison intensity, and upgrading original chest intensity last T chest update.

    At least the feedback black hole has not imploded yet. Good to see that things do not change.

    Ive gotten a few 100% intensities, but they are quite rare. Especially when each box drops like 30 items.

    Edited to reflect I am only talking about 6 mod items, 5 mod are limited at best since imbuing.

    I recieved a 6 mod gorget today:
    SR3
    Stam 3
    Mana Regen 2
    luck 23
    Lmc 2
    LRC 9
    2 4 3 3 3
    So it is possible to have a 100% item but I'm starting to wonder if they have not reset the max points on server side items. It seems to me that I would have recieved at least one better item than the above out of the 15+ 6 mod items I have collected so far. Is there a chance that these items are capped at 450 regardless of total mods?

    This item is currently worth 236 not counting the Self repair because I do not know the value of this mod.

    Not a bad training item ... I got two 6-mod items so far, a jewel and an armor piece. I'll have to look but I don't think I got any individual mods over 60%.

    Just wondering, and this thought has occured to me several times over the last few days. What would people feel about the idea of taking the ordinary magic armour/weapons out of the chest entirely, putting in more reg piles, gem piles and/or other useful resources instead? (we'll take ML regs as included in 'useful resources' without re-starting that argument please :D ).
    Obviously the list of new special items would still be included.

    My thought is the jewel stacks should take over the spell regs completely, because I'd rather get a stack of 50 diamonds than 50 blood moss (and a stack of 10 diamonds is almost worthless to drag). Regs are pretty easy to get by other means, and you won't fail making stuff and lose as many regs that way as you would with jewels.

    I don't mind the "Junk" armor/weapons and jewelry, I unravel them for magic residue. :)
     
  21. Same here... I salvage for the iron ingots and leather, then unravel the rest. With the EC client, it's really not much bother to look and sort for the good stuff. I could be done in five minutes with a level 6 chest if I didn't want to spawn anything else.

    Hmm I think I'm one of the few people that don't mind the junk armor/weapons. I unravel it all anyway, but I suppose I wouldn't object if they removed it. I don't loot reagents but I like the idea of other useful resources being added.

    You get MUCH better loot from the guardian spawn than what is in the chest (not including the artifact/deco items).

    Did 20 level 6 maps yesterday. Really disappionted with the level of intensities from items inside the chest. I am tempted to stop doing maps for a week or so to wait and see if they up the intensity level. I did get 3 forged pardons, 4 scrolls of alacrity, 4 shields (2 MR, 1 hp, 1 stam), 4 vines, 1 sash (weapon) and a good amount of essances (and 12 pieces of Abyssal Cloth)

    At this point, I'd rather smelt the loot in a chest for the ingots rather than unravel it for the inbueing ingreds.

    Out of the 20 chest, for unraveling, I got 0 relic frags total. The most enchanted essance I got was 6 from one chest (and 0 from a couple....0 enchanted essance....).

    I haven't got better luck then you guy on Lvl 6 map. Still not sure why the chest is full with all those wand and mage weapon. Except for the special item, the T-map are still useless. It a good way to raise umbuing that about it. Once again look like I will have to hang my T-hunter.

    While i havent gotten my treasure hunter back into action yet, i was excited and long awaiting the t-map revamp. So... from the posts here it seems to be a bust? I wasnt expecting the regular loot to be anything worthwhile, but have the artifacts / items changed? Like is there a chance at a totem of the void instead of a little crappy banjo, or a tangle instead of a busted up orc helm?

    Basically, what are the changes to loot? its obviously not the random regular majic items.

    Did 6 level 5 chests and 1 level 6. Other than a few special drops--nothing special. I get better unraveling results killing Hiryus. During the level 6 chest a total of 4 Ancient Wyrms spawned and not one of them had any loot worth keeping--for as hard as they are to kill, you would think they would have decent loot. Overall, the Treasure chests are fun to do, but the effort is not compensated by the loot to keep me doing them. And, it would be nice if they added Relic frags to the loot if the items are not going to unravel into relics!

    Oh, and what is with putting the treasure location directly under a tree? All but one map--the level 6 luckily, was under a tree making it next to impossible to see anything. With the EC it circle of transparency is so small it really does not help much.

    If memory serves, they did this same sort of thing when they bumped t chests last time for the martie drops. It was a while before they tweaked intensities.

    Do it if you enjoy the playstyle.

    Treasure hunting is now better than it has been in years. If it's still not good enough for you, don't do it. It doesn't have to be so lucrative that everyone abandons all other forms of hunting. It doesn't even have to be equal to the best way to hunt. Even if nobody enjoys the bump except for existing treasure hunters then they've done a good job.

    It's something different to do in a genre of gaming that otherwise boils down to kill/loot/level/repeat. Try to enjoy the process as much as the product.

    Ok..I think we can all agree that loot intensities on treasure chests completely and utterly suck. This means that chest hunting will last a cpl weeks at most before everyone just says **** it. Waste of dev resources when you don't do stuff right...

    OR..the Devs can listen and make it right...*holds breath*

    Why should it be "take it or leave it" ?

    Treasure Chests loot can be improved. The point I am trying to make, is not about making all magic items uber cool, it would get old as well after a while.

    BUT, if there was the chance for "at least" 1 really good item per level per chest or, 1 item per chest up to level 3 and then a random chance for extra item per chest per level at high modifiers (say 90%+ ?) so that a level 6 chest "can" have possibly "up to" 6 good items but not necessarily (they could also be just 3.....), this would keep Treasure Maps under the focus of interest for a good while.

    I hate to see 6 modifiers items but all with intensities too low which cannot be imbued anyways. I mean, if they are not good to be worn and cannot be bettered people is not going to use them. Then, I wonder, WHY design items which are going to be left unused in the game ? What for ?
     
  31. It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, the Developers greatly reduced item intensity in all loot, and then buffed it a bit about a month later. This was at the same time that Swoops was buffed.

    I had some old "common" loot from demons and paragon titans and such that were higher intensity than anything I get now from miasma. I unraveled these and got quite a few relics.

    I've done about 50 level 6 maps.

    Gotten 8 surge shields, 2 sets of vines, 5 sashes, 4 talismans, 5 skeleton keys, 6 forged pardons.... I am sure someother goodies....

    Anyway, I have gotten plenty of the 'rare' stuff for myself now. I will be holding off on doing any more chest while I wait to hear any updates on the quality of loot.

    Agreed, I have collected a good deal of the new stuff and see no sense in wasting any more of my precious game time with something that is worthless after a few days.

    Now if I start seeing relic frags (via loot intesities), seeds of renewal, void orbs and other such materials improve, it will once again be worth spending time doing.

    I am truly disappointed.

    Back to killing any player I come across. :thumbup1:

    By the way, are these chest changes also in fished up chests?

    I posted that the intensity of the "loot" in the chests was still crap, and asked if we could either get an intensity bump (so we at least could get essence) or reduce the amount of crap we have to dig thru.

    And Sadly, I asked for Pardons to remain the same (not to REDUCE the chance one drops). They reduced it too much, what was the pardon rate dropped by 80%? They were the only thing in the chest that was assured to have a nice long continued market.

    Ya, Ya, the other items are in a variety of flavors with the "brittle" property, but there are already other good choices for all those slots. (they may get used some and need replacing, but not like Pardons)

    if you want a bump in the intensity and output of the items i'd go for it if they put the map locations in dangerous places. like say the etheral fortress. or some other places in the game with sick spawn that noone ever ventures into.

    None of this duel clienting walk in there with my peace /disco treasure guy on one a/c and my stone cold killer on the other.

    my two cents.

    the unraveling is ... eh.

    the items you can get are useful, especially the mr mana orb. it looks like it will wear out quick too so ...

    it does add life to what was upto now a wasted profession.

    There were quite a few threads about the importance of the Pardons to the entire scheme of T-maps. It was going to be VERY important to all facets and all types of players.

    Damned fools...just plain fools.

    Out of ~50 tmaps I got 5 or 6 pardons.... kind of hard to keep track as I already sold them all (2mil a piece, which I am thinking was a little low).

    So, it seems from my small sample that the drop rate is 10%.

    A drop rate of about 20% seems right to me.

    I said that I got plenty of the rare stuff for me atm and that I wasn't going to do anymore until I see if they are going to bump the loot.

    It seems a waste to me to dig up maps now if they are going to bump the loot- or is that too hard a concept for you to get?

    And yes, I've said in another thread that I think the loot needs a bump, but that is just my opinion. Not a ***** about the 'lack' of loot.

    And honestly, it was more than 10mil.

    10 million gold really isnt that much, you can make it in a few hours of farming imbue resources, or by an hour of buying items for resale. Personally, because of all the problems the pardons create, and for players to be able to have the privlege of kinda "working the system," staying in the small zone between blue and red, i think they should sell for much more. Imo the drop rate should be kept the same, and sell for around 4-8 million. Will make players think twice before a kill. And there is always the option to go red, which should be a significant amount of pvpers anyways.
